401 Shawarma is hands down one of the greatest shawarma spots in ONTARIO.They are my favourite shawarma spot in the Durham region and above shawarma empire.Their garlic sauce is out of this world. Especially after Covid they have kept consistent prices. 10$ for a large shawarma sounds expensive. But that shawarma is more filling than a footlong subway sandwich. The meat the vegetable ratio is amazing compared to any other shawarma spots I’ve ever been to.Highly recommend! The staff here are also amazing.

Amazing food, amazing service. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly and took the care to explain the differences with what they were serving me the first time. I was extremely impressed with the quality of food that was produced. Id recommend this over any chain, anyday because of how fresh and tasty their food is, coupled with their amazing service. It truly is a one of a kind experience here.Will always be my go-to spot from now on :)

The food looks great there on the spit until it's cut and you bring it home and it's mostly dry chicken or pure chunks of gristle and fat.

Everything about this place is amazing. The food, portions and the prices are excellent. The staff are absolutely amazing, so welcoming and nice. My go to place for middle eastern Food. Their family platter is a must try.

I decided to try this place based on the reviews. I can honestly say whoever eats at this restaurant has a horrible taste in food and doesn't understand what good service is, not to mention finding hair in your food can be a determining factor. I most certainly will not be back here.

Pretty disappointed with the food. Ordered on the rocks and the entire meal was dry with no flavour. Crew helping with putting together the meal had excellent CS skills which is why 2 stars but unfortunately that cannot make up as the food was unappetizing!

We ordered the family meal and I was amazed at the quality and flavour of the beef and chicken. The veggies were fresh and crisp and the toum was delicious. I will have to get a second container of it the next time we order. It didn't seem like quite enough for my sauce loving family. The portions were so generous, we literally ate shawarma, rice and potatoes for three meals in a row and loved every second of it.

Quality has dropped over the years with changes in ownership, while prices continue to creep up ($20 for a shawarma plate).I went in tonight, and they’ve started using smaller containers - about 25% less portion size. They couldn’t even fit the different components in, so all of the rice/salad was just thrown all together.It’s the only decent shawarma option in the area (in my opinion), but sadly it’s not worth it for me anymore.Best of luck!

This is definitely my go to anytime I'm craving Shawarma!! The ingredients are always fresh and delicious. The sauces are amazing, I always add sweet dill to everything. You can't beat the family meals, very large serving for a great price.

Update: very disappointed and missing the old owners. I used to go here once a week. Tried it again for the first time in about a year, garlic has no flavour, chicken and beef were so dry I almost choked on them, quality of the meat is no longe to the same, salad was wet and soft, potatoes just aren’t the same as they used to be and prices have increased quite a bit. (Photos are from years ago under original ownership)
