This place has such promise, super cute, amazing patio and nice atmosphere. The food however was not what you would expect for the price. Entree was to come with roasted potatoes and vegetables but what came was mashed potatoes only - not a veg in sight. No side salad to accompany your entree like most other restaurants charging $30+ for entrees. Spaghetti carbonara had the eggs cooked in the sauce which is a rookie mistake. Unfortunately will likely not return.

Overall, a very good experience and worthwhile. Nice to see another nice restaurant in Leamington. Food was excellent. Smell of cigarette smoke in the entrance portico coming from the basement, and the temperature in the main room too cool could be improved. Staff is friendly and helpful. White wine selection could be longer. Definitely recommend and will be back

Best italian food in Windsor-Essex area and we’ve tried every italian restaurant to have the comparison.Very friendly staff, great atmosphere and food.Lamb was prepared exactly as it should, slightly warm and falling off the bone.Calamari was soft and excellent, spot on. ( Majority of restaurants overcook it. )

We just had a very nice meal at Sona tonight. Our first visit and we were not disappointed! We will certainly go back. Food was great, service and atmosphere charming! Thank you Katie and Dave for the hospitality!

This is a fairly new restaurant. The new young owner who bought the old Gallery Restaurant did a great job with the new decor and fine dining ambiance of the place. The food was amazing from an Italian chef from Erie st Windsor. Great job best of luck with the restaurant. It’s agreat addition to Leamington Italian dining.

Our group of 6 had a fantastic experience! Loved the Speak Easy space and decor - even more than the main level restaurant space. Excellent wine options, yummy appetizers and delicious mains... AND yes desserts too! Fab spot and super staff.

What a fantastic little gem we found in downtown Leamington. The ambiance at the speakeasy portion of the restaurant was great listening to some great romantic music and with some really nice decoration from the walls all the way to the cutlery on the tables. Service was really good and friendly including the owner sharing a shot of liquor 43 with us at the end of dinner. The main star is the food, we had the calamari and the octopus as starters and then the seafood risotto and wow the flavor was incredible! I can't recommend enough this place!

Great atmosphere, but where was the service? We made reservations for our anniversary for 6pm on a Saturday; closed Sunday to Tuesday,We arrived and entered through the front door, no one was there and we were unsure of where to go; up or down the stairs. We chose to go up and there was a closed black curtain. We went back down and saw SpeakEasy on the wall and thought that must be the bar. We were confused. Where do we go? We went back outside to the side door, it was locked. Ok so we go back to the front. Saw some people and asked about it; was told to go to the patio; they would bring us in from there. Who knew? Go there, and was told to go downstairs. Really? Why don't they have a greeter at the door? Went downstairs and it also had a drawn black curtain. Went inside; we were the only ones there. After a short moment the server appeared and disappeared to find menus, which we saw at the table by the curtain.Anyway, I give 4 stars for the atmosphere, it was very nice. I would have enjoyed it more had there been other people or even an attentative server. There was a piano, would have been nice to hear someone play on a Saturday night.2 stars for service. She was friendly but disappeared and didn't return frequently enough. Food order was taken in a timely manner and food came out rather quickly, too quick really. I had ordered a glass of wine and my husband ordered a highball, which when it finally arrived was not what he ordered. We were literally finished eating by the time they did arrive. Very disappointing. I had higher expectations.3 stars for food, it was okay, not spectacular. We ordered chicken and veal marsala. Skimpy on the sauce, which I thought would be a creamy sauce, but wasn't. Veggies were peppers, nothing special nor where the potatoes. It wasn't what I expected at all.

Had our work Christmas dinner here. The place looks fabulous. The staff is wonderful. Felt like family. The food was very well prepared, good selection and beautiful presentation! Overall great experience.
