Café Boulud
Great spot for a nice dinner. I came here for my birthday, and I really loved my time here. The tasting menu is worth try—it was the perfect amount food! I appreciate the extra birthday surprise and the extra dessert!

The oysters! Wow so good! I loved the toppings, they sure gave a flavor bomb in your mouth. We ordered the burger and chicken salad and everything was really good. The birger was really flavourful and large, I couldn't finish everything. Also ordered a cocktail and coffee, both were great.

Came here for the brunch set menu and it was worth the price! The portions were larger than expected and I highly recommend ordering the fresh oysters and beef tartare! Great service as well!Only downside was the French omelette was very small for a main. Also the vegan/vegetarian options are limited.

Loved Irene our server. Staff was professional and welcoming. Loved that.Downside was there was no real vegetarian option. I ordered 5 sides on one plate. $60 for sides. Yikes. It was more expensive than my girl’s grilled tuna, which she loved.The bread though was probably the best bread I’ve ever had.Chef Du Cuisine of Cafe Boulud, I challenge you to add a world class vegetarian dish or better yet a vegan dish. Challenge accepted?Let’s get with the times, it’s 2023, Planta is right now the street from you, there’a market for vegan and vegetarian cuisine.Oh and the signage was lacking. We passed it twice. There’s no numbers and no side on Yorkville St.Oh on Google it said they had soufflé and when we got there found out it’s only a special on weekends. We went for soufflé. But it’s Google and not* their menu.Overall 7 because I’d go back if they had veggie dish.

Attended the prix fixe brunch on Saturday for my wife's birthday. I was impressed with the Steak Tartare, but even more so with the Croque Madame. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and quite filling! The two course menu is more than enough for anyone, but I was a little disappointed I couldn't try the dessert because I was too full (I don't like wasting food and I couldn't take any to go as we were attending another event afterward). I'll have to go back to try the dessert another day.Overall the food and the service are excellent; we were greeted with smiles when we entered, our coats were checked and we were seated within minutes. Our waiter was attentive and pleasant. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant; brunch can attract a boisterous crowd sometimes which is to be expected. It's worth the visit and lives up to the Boulud name in terms of the quality of the food and service.My wife was served some warm Madeleines with a candle and happy birthday written in a chocolate sauce, which was heavenly with the Madeleines.Highly recommend the brunch prix fixe menu, will definitely be going back to try the dinner menu.

Ordered the arctic char, carrot soup, 1/2 dozen oysters, duo beef, and grilled cheese. Free bread came and reordered it 2 more times. The meal overall was very good. The artic char was slightly dry, the duo beef was good but lacking in variety of flavors. The grilled cheese was a big portion for kids. Overall experience it was good. Service was excellent. There's a kids menu and very child friendly. Oh I didn't realize they charged me more for the bread, they should have informed me beforehand. Don't think we'll be returning to this restaurant. The flavours were just slightly lacking for the overall price paid.

The service was wonderful - very quick, attentive staff. The breakfast was delicious, I had scrambled eggs with toast and a side of avocado subbed in, in place of bacon, with roasted potatoes. Their parfait was also great.
