Solstice Spa at Elkhorn Resort

I was there in early May on vacation and thought I'd try the Spa. The woman at reception was very condensing and snippy when I needed clarification on something. I witnessed her also being like that to other guests. Not a great way to start a supposed relaxing time at the spa!I had booked in for the 75 min hot rock massage and a facial. My treatment started at 15 after the Hr and the receptionist made it very clear that I MUST be there at 10 after as I would greeted and taken to the room at that time I would be on the table at 15 after sharp. Well, I was greeted at 20 after and was back out in the waiting area promptly at 30 after in the next Hr. So it was definitely NOT a full 75 min massage.The massage was good and facial was very nice, as was the mineral pool but not something I'd return to based on the prices.

Massage therapist was fantastic. Steam good, mineral bath good, music needs an update made me feel that I needed to go to the Himalayas and retrieve a rare orchid. I dont find climbing mountains relaxing. Axe body spray in the guys change room.......maybe consider bringing that up a notch! Overall though great staff and great experience.

Service is consistently excellent from front desk to the RMT’s. Very well kept as staff is always replenishing supplies and tidying up. I could see there being issues with the mandatory gratuity, but I’ve always had a good experience and would gladly pay as a result. My only complaint would be the lotion scents they offer in the ladies change room. Great place to getaway. Would definitely recommend.

Facility was nice but could hear something upstairs throughout the facial. Facial was well done but started 10 minutes late. Felt a bit rushed at times. Massage was lacking. I would suggest asking for a massage therapist that specializes in deep tissue if this is what you want or just skip the massage all together. The massage therapist was not good at doing each side of the body evenly and often was sitting on the bed while massaging. I imagine that it is easy to keep on mediocre therapists at a destination hotel because clients are booking strictly for the holiday experience or to access the mineral spa. The front staff were nice but nothing to write home about.

Wonderful experience. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Massage by Crystal was excellent. the amenities were lovely, sauna, spa and pool were clean and inviting. highly recommended.

This spa's mineral pools lack the ability for guests to utilize unless you are a client paying for spa services. Cost to use the mineral pools without a service is $42 per person per day if the services are not fully booked and they allow you to pay to go in. We were not willing to pay $85 for two people for 45 minutes to go into the mineral spa. Other mineral spas that I have experienced in neighboring provinces in Canada have a separate fee for guests of example $10 to use only the pools as hotel guests . Don't assume that the high cost of hotel rate include the experience to use all facilities at this resort. Not impressed. The resort has so much to offer, the staff go above and beyond, live music in the lounge, great long weekend events going on for all ages; maybe the spa operates privately!? Resort needs to review their operations if they want to maintain a higher level of standards.

I had the best massage here. Debra is an amazing massage therapist. The mineral pool is great. The only complaint I have is that the hottub had a brown ring around it and looked kind of grungy

We loved it and go for the peace and quiet.This time there were a bunch of ladies that were super loud. Don't come there if you just want to be chatting.Go to the lounge or your room.The rules that are set are constantly ignored.All depends who you have visiting.We will still go back, next time better I hope.

The Solstice Spa's services are extremely over-priced. $127 for a manicure with taxes and the mandatory 15% gratuity included (which I do not like at all either). The pedicure was held in a private room with a very nice technician and was the standard that you would receive at a basic nail salon in a mall for a fraction of the price. The ambience and sense of relaxation was lovely, but definitely wasn't a service that I would pay double for at least. Probably won't return unless I have a gift card or discount.

Quite small pool area but extremely nice overall! No troubles in any way, all of the staff my family and I interacted with were extremely helpful and helped us deal with anything we needed. Very nice place to go for the pool, if it isn’t busy, although I haven’t been for a spa treatment/massage sort of thing. Either way, it was very very good!Only issue is that it seems quite overpriced.
