I live alone and an overnight/hospital surgery was approaching. My sisters and I thought it would be good if I had someone with me the first evening and night after discharge. I met Polina Zagran on my front porch a few weeks before, explained the situation and that I would like a Home Care person for that time, basically for peace of mind.I was very impressed with Polina when we first met and again when she brought Lily for this 14-hour job, which was probably a little different than most. Polina was professional, thoughtful and warm and caring as we spoke and I felt on both occasions a feeling of trust in her as Director of Care.When Polina and Lily, my care giver, arrived on the date arranged, I thought to myself I probably didn’t need anyone as I was feeling pretty well. As it turned out, I was definitely glad Lily was with me, that I wasn’t alone.Lily and I shared dinner and breakfast the next morning, which she put together, she made my bed and retrieved a large bell for me to call her during the night. Lily checked on my throughout the night, and I did have to ask her to dry up the floor after I’d knocked over my water.I was very comfortable with Lily throughout the time she was with me. She was conscientious, proactive, and very willing to do what I would like, and I liked her very much. Lily connected as a human being.Thank you to both Polina and Lily, from Jean
