Fyfe was contracted to do a well report of quantity and quality of water in a shallow well for a house purchase in September 2017. When attending the location he made no attempt to run a test (there are types that can be done during a drought) but just said he did not want to take all their water and that the well would be around 5 gal/minute. Little did we know how much of a lie that was. Rainfall May-Sept 2017-19 pretty much same(parksville data).Then same period 2020 - triple the amount. I started to keep well vol data 2019 onward. Due to a couple of issues well pulled dry twice - Aug 20. Recovery rate - 4 FL.OZ./MIN each time - NOT 5 GAL/MIN. Yet rainfall had been 3 times of 2017. This year, on new equipment(2020) leak resulted in empty well. Aug 2021 - Recovery rate 2.5 FL.OZ/Min !Had we known we could have got a price adjustment for drill a proper well or cistern system. Lambs to the slaughter.Then he took forever to get back to us for any kind of information so did at least not charge us. We would have preferred to get a report. Now we are struggling with a very low yield well and impact on our property value.
