We have been coming to this veterinary clinic for years, and our pets have always been treated the very best. We, as clients, have been treated with the most kindness and respect even on occasion when we showed up a little late for an appointment because we had to drive a little farther to get there. They are loving and kind to their patients, and we are so lucky to have them caring for our pets!! Dr. Comeau, you are awesome!!

We moved to the area just before covid and were looking for a new veterinarian. Before,during and after covid the team always made us feel welcomed during such a stressful period.Our seven companions are all seniors and knew we were heading to alot of heart breaks. We have had three cats and one dog pass in the last 2 years. During this time the Avon team helped us spend their last moments not in pain, with love and support which was so important for all of us. The compassion and respect they showed for our loved ones will always be remembered.Now we have three senior cats and they continue to be a fantastic team for us. They never make us feel rushed during appointments and always will answer any questions we may have.If you are looking for a great veterinarian clinic....you just found it.C. Frison

Five stars isn't enough to rate how wonderful Avon Animal Hospital is. Every member of the team is exceptionally kind and competent, and I always trust the advice they provide. Incredibly grateful to have them in our circle of care.

The vet and staff at Avon Animal Hospital made a terrible day a little more bearable for me. I had to say goodbye to my sweet cat today and they made the experience as good as it can be. They were empathetic, informative and kind. Thank you for allowing me to say goodbye to my sweet Piper.

We have visited them several times and every time they were amazing. Recently we have seen Dr. Megan Kennedy, and our Sheppard has typically be quite reactive but since training he has become more manageable. Dr. Kennedy is very understanding and patient. We came in with a semi urgent situation after our boy was attacked by 3 other dogs. I called right in the morning and I was able to bring him in right away. Dr. Kennedy treated him like he was her own animal. I would highly recommend this vet office. The staff are very welcoming and compassionate!

Easter Sunday our Boxer started showing signs of discomfort and could not use the bathroom. She tried and tried. She did not want water or her supper. Monday morning I called the Avon before office hours and they returned my call shortly after 8am. They asked me to bring her in at 9:20 and they would observe her for a few hours. They did an X-ray and some bloodwork. The X-ray didn’t give any answers and her bloodwork was perfect! Promising. Dr Megan arranged an ultrasound for the next day in Dartmouth. The report came back on Wednesday afternoon and surgery was scheduled for Thursday morning at 8am. I received two updates from the operating room very quickly. It was much worse than expected and we chose to let her go. The whole staff were so caring. I brought our girl home to be buried with her brother. Thank you all for getting me through this difficult time.

Wonderful, caring clinic who has bent over backwards for me numerous times in the past two years dealing with health scares with my boys. They’re eager to work with their clients and animals to provide the best care they can. Highly recommend.

I have been using Avon as my vet for years. They are knowledgeable when I have questions. The vets and staff are great with the fur baby family members. Highly recommend.

I can not say enough good things about AAH. Dr Kennedy is just a real treat when it comes to having a caring vet. She has been taking care of our two cats Birdie and Blanche as well as our Aussie Shepard Bily since we brought them home and the level of care is exceptional. Everyone there is super nice and I can't imagine taking our furbabies any where else...

We were so grateful to be able to avail of the services of the Avon Animal Hospital due to unexpected staff issues at the Clinic we have been taking our 15-year old cat for years. When we arrived we were met by a friendly receptionist who immediately took us into an examination room. The vet was wonderful with our cat. After a brief examination we discussed options along with pros and cons of each--absolutely NO pressure. She provided pamphlets for us to go home and read/discuss. The treatment that our cat had been receiving for year has been discontinued so she shared the two best options along with the pros and cons and left us to choose. Since this new treatment is no longer an injection but rather a topical she, at our request, administered the first treatment so we could learn the best technique (when dealing with a resistant cat). The vet was awesome. There was a new person at the reception desk when we left. She was very pleasant and helpful throughout the payment process and delivery of our purchases. We are very pleased with our Avon Animal Hospital and will likely remain with this clinic.
