Kai Wei Supermarket
I come here specifically for produce: it's very cheap and of good enough quality for the price and in these times that's extremely important. If you like fancy places don't come here as its not easy on the eye.A decent selection of Asian items too, and although the prices aren't as cheap as the produce, it's still cheaper than t&t

Clean place most of the way. Staff needs to be better customer oriented and not picky.Service is a fault. Decent quality produces and good prices

The venerable KAI WEI Supermarket on the South East side of Spadina and Dundas Streets, is a great vast emporium, showcasing outside its offerings of Western and Asian fruits and vegetables wrapping around to Grange Street, and its international supermarket wares, meats and live fish in its spacious interior, adding a Bitcoin machine for crypto-shoppers. The prices are inexpensive, the items fresh (can it be otherwise...) & the checkout super fast with a small army of razor sharp cashiers.

The best supermarket in Chinatown. Great prices and variety. Best for fruits and vegetables.

My favourite Asian grocery store. Variety of fresh fruits and Asian Vegetables. The store is not very spacious though the product they sell is worth it. Some herbs and Asian food are not available in other stores. The main good thing is the price of every item is less and cheap than other stores.

Great Chinese store with relatively cheap prices. (And they accept a debit card, not only cash.)

I live about a 10 minute walk from this place and I've only recently started to shop there. The veggies and fruits are and without exaggeration at least 50% cheaper than the average.

Good. One of the Chinese supermarkets in this area. Cheaper price than regular groceries store. I like it.Diverse food, especially Asian vegetables, foods and spices. Apart from Chinese brands, I have found many Vietnamese and Korean foods here. This is a Chinese supermarket so only about 50% of staff know English. But they're friendly.A pity is the late opening hours (9:00 am) and early closing. Why not open an hour earlier (8:00 am) and close a little later? :)

Fantastic prices and product offering. One of the actually non-overpriced grocers in downtown Toronto, although it’s quite no frills and some of the lower priced items are priced that way for a reason. I shop here regularly and prefer it to other big box chain stores.

The storefront and building doesn't look like much, but if you can get over the aesthetics, this is a great grocery store if you are looking for excellent prices for groceries. Sometimes if you come just as the store opens, you can score some unbelievable deals. For the most part, this store is cash only. Not a problem as it helps them keep prices down. Overall, if you're willing to make the trek here, you will find some good deals.
