If I could rate this store a Zero- I would.Probably the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Something that I am not used to when I walk into a PetValu store.I do not recommend this place to anyone unless you like to be treated like an imposition.From the minute I walked in I was ignored, ( 3 people behind cash including franchisee) and when I did ask questions, I felt like I was intruding on the franchisee. I was directed to the back of the store and told to “root around in the freezer because it was all crammed together because it had broken“. ( it’s Raw food- does this mean it thawed and was refrozen? Thus is a serious health concern for my dogs)When I approached the cash area & asked a question about where the cat toys and accessories were - I was pointed ‘to around the corner over there.’When I approached the franchisee at the counter to pay, and asked for assistance she nastily replied to me ‘I didn’t know that you needed any help’ .I told her that I was frustrated with the lack of help ( this is not the first time I have been treated like this at this location -though to be fair -I thought that I would try them out again) Taken aback, I then told her that I wouldn’t be shopping here ever, and left empty handed- to which she responded ‘good luck with that’.When I spoke to another customer outside the store, and said how frustrated I was with what I had experienced in the store, the former customer responded that she did not shop at that location anymore and had taken her business to Petsmart because the franchisee was always rude to her as well.It is really sad that a customer is made to feel unwelcome, uncomfortable and an imposition when walking into a pet supply store. It is supposed to be a Wonderfully fun experience where you part with your money happily because you are taking care of a family member whose well-being is important to you.It is obvious that this franchisee ( and staff) is a very unhappy person who really doesn’t have a passion for service, pets or people.It is also obvious by the reviews on this site and in conversations that I have recently had on social media, about this location that I’m not the only person who has experienced her ‘ brand of disdain’ at her PetValu franchise store.And it is really sad corporate PetValu continues to allow her be the brand image for two of their stores ( she owns both in Orangeville). I think it would be in their best interest to pay close attention to the reviews of their customers.Sadly, if I was to a base the experience that I had today at her store I’m pretty sure that I would never shop at another PetValu again.The irony is is that I have shopped at many of these stores all over Ontario and have been a loyal customer for a very long time. Never have I been treated like this at any of the other pet valu stores. My business has always been valued and I’ve always been made to feel welcome no matter which one I visit ( Haliburton, Huntsville, North Bay, Toronto, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Bolton, Newmarket, … just to name a few) Service elsewhere has always been stellar. I have loved spending my hard earned money in every one of those stores, and making referrals to friends, business colleagues and acquaintances about Shopping at PetValu vs ‘the others’.What the franchisee owner did not realize when she told me ‘good luck with that ‘ is that I was there to buy Rat Supplies-food and toys, Bunny supplies oxbow hay, bedding, litter and chew toys, dog food -Big Country Raw, Chew bones a new Bed and treats , as well as a toy, cat supplies wet and dry adult food, and a whole bunch of kitten stuff for our newly adopted kitten: which included a cat tower, a cat carrier, a cat bed, various kitten toys, wet food and dry food ( and anything else I could buy to make my daughter’s new kitten a wonderful experience)Instead, I left empty handed, upset, and in shock.A very different experience then the “memorable moments that devoted pet lovers want… locally in stores” that Pet Valu wanted me to have.Petsmart was happy to help.

I was there yesterday at 2:29pm and Valerie was there to serve customers...my bf and I found her to be beyond extremely rude in how she talked to me....it was totally unacceptable!!!

Went in for specialty dog food asked the lady that followed me around. Said they don't have it kept insisting that they sell it at Walmart! They DO NOT SELL IT AT WALMART! I KEPT TELLING HER SHE WAS WRONG! Very insulted that they assume I don't know what food my dog eats and that it's cheap food from Walmart cause they don't have it. It's Zoë a food made in Canada all natural I don't think this store is high end enough to sell it!

I had a terrible experience at this location the staff there made me feel like a theif for holding a sample bag in my hand that I asked prior to grabbing. It was a free sample bag but she continued to watch me like a hawk in her store as my toy poodle and I browsed. Upon leaving she said in a rude manner she needs to scan the sample which I was understanding and was willing to do but when I said nicley other pet values don't scan the sample bags she got very rude. Will not be returnin. Whomever you were you were extremely rude. Also don't work with animals if you will give my Chihuahua bad looks for barking.

I've gone to this location about 6 times hoping that my opinion will change but it hasn't so I will no longer be going here. The blonde lady who is usually there is extremely rude. When she isn't on the phone making personal calls, dont expect her to acknowledge you or ask if you need assistance. On more than one occasion she's been very cold and in my opinion shouldn't be working with the public. I'll be going to pet smart from now on.

Omg if there could be a negative star I would give it. We shop at Pet Value everywhere, guess we’re going to Pet Smart instead. The manager at this stor is a miserable woman. She was sweeping the sidewalk in front of the store while I was in my BMW, she hit my car at 4 times with her broom. I politely asked her not and to be careful and she lost it on me saying it’s my fault and that I’m an ingnorant person.... wow ... someone really has the Christmas spirit. Think she’s like yogurt.... past her best before date. Wow - holy miserable woman Batman! Stay away run far away. I’m never shopping there and will tell my friends the same

The sales girl was amazing. I have a long haired Chihuahua and He is very fussy with has treats and what dog food he eats so she was great allowing me to have some samples to let him try instead of buying all this dog food that he won't touch. Honestly the girls in here are extremely rude and make me not even want to go back. unfortunately I don’t have a car to go anywhere else as nowhere is close enough to walk to.... very unfortunate that I feel like I have to hold my breath when walking though the store or afraid to ask for helpSide note staff is always on their phones won’t even look up most of the time

These women at this Pet store are a bunch of nasty miserable people.They never say hello to the customers..and never ask if you need help.Ive been in there about 6 times and always leave with a bad taste in my mouth.If you are going to work with the public at least be courteous.Will never give them my business.
