Renewed my license in less than 10 minutes and got a new Health card to boot!!!

2 months waiting for c.v.o.r name change, it's unbelievable how long it takes and don't blame covid ,blame the people who work there ....

Spent 150 to book a G test, and they wouldn't go because one (just the one) of my rear brake lights was out. Rebooked for an additional $40, showed up 10 minutes early and got in line for their digital check-in. Due to a line up, the computer said I was late and was therefore unable to be tested. Booked again for another $150 and passed no problem.I also had my buddy tell me that he was instructed to turn left into a parking lot, but people were walking along and he waited. He was failed for that, and when he asked, Should I have just ran them over?" The instructor said "you would have passed then."So I'm not overly fond of the monopoly the MTO has on drivers licenses in Ontario."

Sent in the oversize permit application at 7 AM on Friday March 5th. They started working on it at 1 PM on Wednesday March 10th (!). If you try to call in, you get the Call Center who have no contact with the actual permit office. Emails take a long time to get noticed When it was finally my turn, the 'permit processor' emailed me requesting multiple corrections on the application. She refused to adjust the application over the phone -- each time she didn't like something on the submitted form, I had to re-fill that page of the application and re-send it. I finally gave up at 4 pm on Wednesday March 10th and asked them to cancel my application. This permit office is officially the SLOWEST in North America. Every other State or Province I know issues permits FASTER than this Ontario Permit Office, Covid or no Covid. If you can afford it, try to go around Ontario on your route with an oversize/overweight permit: you 'll save yourself a lot of hassle. Unless you're willing to wait 7 days for a permit and submit multiple corrections of your application.

Waited on the phone for 40 minutes and the woman i was talking to hung up on me.

Reached out to contact their Digital Innovation lab at this location (the only number available anywhere on the web is the general MTO number). The operator said that he could not connect me to a particular location or individual and had no other suggestions. I was unable to communicate to the MTO though the MTO.

Just renewed my license plate sticker on line and found out that the Ontario government is not mandating the renewal at this time. If they are not mandating a renewal , why take some people's money and hide the fact that is not required right now.....shameful
