Be prepared to get in a queue, it’s always a wait but it’s well worth it. I highly recommend adding honey mustard and mayo to a sandwich … maybe some hot sauce. The breakfast sandwich is also amazing.10/10 would go here over paddingtons - I’ve never been more disappointed when my husband came home with a sandwich from the wrong place. This is a childhood classic with all my memories of coming here with my parents.

I went and got the Peameal Bacon on a bun. ($8) It was exactly as described, but had 5 slices of bacon (it was a lot of bacon and the bun was pretty good), but my partner found it too salty and too pricey. The bun was literally prepared before I even order, so the wait time was extremely minimal.I would try the breakfast on a bun instead as it would have a lot more variety to taste. They take only cash. So ensure you have cash prior to ordering.

Being in Toronto, you gotta try the peameal bacon sandwich. The bacon was alright and the bun was a little tough and dry, but it's something you have to experience at least once.

My first peameal bacon sandwich, so I didn’t know what to expect. Well first of all, it’s not bacon at all—it’s Canadian bacon, which is ham. So three thick slices of ham on a soft, delicious roll. There was an assortment of sauces. I chose horseradish, and it was a good choice. Mustard would have been good too. The butter tarts were amazing. First time having those, so no comparison, but I loved them.

Carousel > Paddington. I’ve gone here twice for the peameal bacon sandwich and got their 2 most popular, the dijon mustard and the maple mustard but there’s a load to choose from. Both are pretty solid but basic, nothing crazy as told by the picture. My favorite thing is that they sell ‘day old bread’ which are the previous days bread (probably not yesterdays) but at 5 or 6 for $1/$2 and they’re still very fresh it’s a great bargain.

Get the Peameal bacon and ask for extra mapple mustard so you can apply it in-between each of the many generous slices of bacon.

It was a nice simple lunch sandwich. I had the veal parmigiana sandwich. Rich in veggies inside. Not much flavour in the meat though. The best part of the Sandwich was the quality and the taste of the bread - extremely fresh. This place takes cash only.

A very nice experience with a very good breakfast sandwich. We got the “Peameal Bacon on a Bun” and it was simple but very tasteful. The bacon is high quality and full of flavor. I loved it and I would like to try all the other things too.

Heard the Peameal Bacon Sandwich was a food I had to try in Toronto and that Carousel Bakery had the best Peameal Bacon Sandwich.  I ordered the sandwich with Honey Mustard because that was the most popular.  It was cash only so be ready.  The sandwich was solid but I am not the biggest fan of the bacon.  Just a very simplistic sandwich, it was nice to try but I wouldn’t really go out and get it again.
