After unsuccessfully trying on our own in hiring nanny, we hired Magnus Resources referred by a neighborhood nanny who worked for Magnus Resources in the past. Rhodora Ramos takes took the time to understand the needs of our family and helped us in selecting the right Nanny for our family. We needed a nanny and were given Rhodora's information via a neighbour. We were uncertain about hiring a foreign worker however she took several meeting with us to answer our questions, review the process, and give us the information we needed to make a decision. She never rushed us and often spent extra time after the meeting talking to our daughter and making small talk - it was not all about business. I'm really not sure where some of the previous comments have come from, they are entirely from left field.It took a bit longer than 6 months to get our nanny here and that was the government's fault with a problem with my credit card expiry date. She did all of the paperwork, booked the flight, organized housing, and everything worked out.We are so incredibly happy with our nanny. Rhodora gave us only 3-4 applicants and I was worried that we wouldn't have much choice but she was right - having too many choices sometimes can be harder and confusing. She picked candidates that she felt would work best with our family situation. Our nanny is perfect for us. She fits in well with our personalities and lifestyle. We've only had her with us for 1.5 months and any of my worries about having someone that didn't work well with our family have completely gone away. She works HARD and we try our best to make sure she is treated fairly and appreciated. We have a great situation. Our nanny appears to be very happy as well as she has Rhodora and a great Filipino 'family' here - they have frequent get-togethers and social activities.Now after using Magnus and Rhodora - I would NEVER have wanted to try to find someone and go through the process by myself. The cost she charges is fair for the amount of work she does and for the peace of mind that all will be ok. I have recommended Rhodora to others looking for nanny services. Keep in mind if you want to hire someone quickly this is not the process to use as you need at least 6 months to sponsor someone. If you want someone ASAP she has contacts here already in Ontario but the hourly wage will be higher.Thank you Rhodora! We consider you a friend to our family as well.

Radora is wonderful. Caring. Approachable. And helps however she can! Yes the process was long but some of that has to do with govt red tape. I’ve had my nanny for almost 2 years now and love her. My kids love her.

Terrible agency. take your money and doen'st do anything. Eitheir Magnus Resources lied to me in regards of the $$ that I would spend or she was completely uninformed.Please save yourself a headache and choose ANOTHER AGENCY !!

The owner and founder of Magnus Resources has been tirelessly working with and for our family for nearly two years to help us sponsor our nanny who is finally here and we couldn't be happier.Some families like ours encounter extreme delays due to the governments red-tape. The problems we had to overcome were a result of the governments mis-handling of the Live-In Caregiver program but that is not this agency's fault. Rhodora helped us navigate every step of the way by giving us options and keeping us informed over our two year journey.Yes, we had to work along side her to get this done and sometimes our scheduled meetings would change or be delayed, but had we not had Rhodora's expertise we never would have known which steps to take to push along in this bureaucratic process. Rhodora was persistent for us and that kept us persistent in turn, which turned out to be a recipe for success.Along the way, we definetly wanted to give up and employ a Plan B, but in the end, Rhodora came through for our family and achieved what was starting to look like an impossible feat.Our nanny has recently joined our family to take care of our three small children and household while both my husband and I work long hours. We employed a temporary nanny who helped bridge the gap and she was a welcome and wonderful addition to our family as well.The more we became entrenched in this process, the more time we spent getting to know Rhodora and her agency, the more impressed we were that she could have long ago given up on our case and been justified in doing so but never once was that an option from her perspective.Thank You to Magnus Resources for helping our family with finding and successfully sponsoring our Live-In nanny who we love!Dawn Larson and Family

ComplaintMy husband and I have are disappointed in the service provided by Magnus resources. We do understand that there is a new application process for foreign workers that would be newMagnus Resources; however, we have found that they have been slow in responding back to our concerns. As a result I have spent significant time researching the process and at Magnus Resource's request speaking directly to the government in hopes to expedite the process. We also were concerned with the vagueness of some of your answers to our questions and ultimately have lost trust in you looking out for our best interests. In addition, the part time candidates suggested by Magnus Resources were not suitable to our needs. For instance, she required that these part time nannies work under the table, without the provision of T4 slips or invoices and further noted that if invoices were requires, hourly rates would be increased from $11/hour to $20/hour.This process has caused a lot of stress on our family as well as significant added expenses and we have been forced to look at alternative options.Seeing the difficulty we have endured without having been provided a suitable nanny we sought to obtain a resolution for the following reasons: 1) lack of customer service; 2) lack of ability to communicate in a timely manner; 3) presentation of unsuitable and seemingly illegal workers; and 4) delays in services resulting in significant amounts of stress.Magnus resources failed to acknowledge our concerns or respond to our complaint despite multiple emails and telephone calls. Would absolutely not recommend.

magnus provides a detailed email package when you contact for nanny services. rhodora is pleasant, will come to you, to sign up with the agency and will send you applicants - local or foreign, in a timely manner.THE PROBLEMS begin once you have signed on, and have decided on someone. for us, we hired an overseas nanny and had too many issues with her-- safety of my child, cleanliness or our home, inability to learn and acclamate to her new environment, mood issues. shortly after she began, we foudn out she had no prior experience, we could not get in touch with anyone from the agency for assistance as rhodora was away on vacation. after expressing our concerns, we were told there would be counselling for her, however nothing changed. when we tried to contact the agency with help finding a replacement, could not get in touch for weeks. then we got a text message saying she is sick with the flu. this all occured within 6 weeks of hiring -- well within the guarantee period.so although the follow ups are timely initially, do not expect reliable service and follow through once all payments have been made.
