PLEASE READ So for someone who is not Chinese or have any Chinese family members this place can be difficult...... I was applying for a L visa after waiting 4 months for my appointment I was turned down for the second time they told me I needed round trip tickets with hotel accommodations and I needed to photo copy it as proofs for not even being gratitude a visa I had a 50/50 chance at getting it like why do you want me to waste 5 Grand for something I might not even get..... the lady working was insanely rude I waited around a hour in line for nothing... if you really want a visa go to the Ottawa location you don't have to wait.

If you can manage to get an appointment, the application experience is actually very good. Staff is efficient and friendly. And it's clear which windows are intake, processing and payment. I haven't seen anyone who is confused about where to go.The office is also conveniently located next to a Staples if you need to do some last minute copying and printing.

It was really difficult to get an appointment for a short-term work visa that I needed within 5 weeks of being invited through official channels with appropriate invitation documents. I eventually got an appointment time after expressing emergency. I submitted all of my forms and was expecting to pick up my visa and passport within 4 days. I was called by telephone the evening before the pickup of my application, and the guy said it might be delayed 2 months. I tried to ask questions, but no explanations were offered. I kept on calling this centre and also tried to request speaking to other people in charge. I waited for weeks while still asking for explanations for the delay. Nothing was told to me.

I was there to give all documents for China visa. My appointment was 9 am but because of long line I got to the booth at 9:30. Then you need to see another booth and wait. I finished around 11. My advice is to be there 30 mins before your appointment. Have all you documents ready. They only accept debit cards.

Today, I came to the Toronto Application Center with my elderly parents. It was really touching! Many thanks to Ms. Xu who was at window #2 this morning for her many times of kindness help! And the enthusiastic helps from the other staff, even know all of you were incredibly busy at all time! I could tell many people including myself were so frustrated, but the staff were always being patience and kind to provide professional help! Without your kindness help and patience, today's certification and two visas would have to go there twice but I live so far away from Toronto! The staff at your visa centre is so heartwarming! Thank you very much!

You're set up for failure here so my advice, bring liquids and a snack (or in my mother's case, a boiled egg of course). Spent nearly 4hrs here because every time we got to the service desk, they would tell us something else that we were missing (Even though we'd ask every time if there was anything else). We were applying for a Visa for tourism.Learn from our experience and bring:- x2 photocopies of Canadian passport- x2 photocopies of China passport (of nearly every page including the immigration letter)- x2 photocopies of your Citizenship card (both sides)- x2 photocopies of the ID from the person you're staying with in China (both sides)- Invitation LetterIf you screw up, you can use the computers to the side to refill your application. There is an overpriced staples around the corner for you to reprint everything. There is not technical assistance anywhere with the use of computers nor at Staples for all the poor elderly immigrants all desperately trying to figure out how to make photocopies.Godspeed.

We followed their instructions exactly to submit authentication for a document, but when we reached and only were told that we need a reservation in advance and another two documents. Why don't you write those requirement clearly in advance? It is just a waste of others' time. What a typical Chinese agency this is, but all the agencies in mainland China are a lot better now. A total SHAME in the western world. Nothing will change except you can write here in Google Maps.

Staff inside the counter are helpful and efficient. Poor thing is there is nobody managing the line ups. Badly need a receptionist. People have to ask which line is which and they lining up for the wrong service. Appointment before 9.30 takes about 40min - 1 hour to be done.

There's no way in hell you can get an appointment online, I tried to enter my information as fast as within 5 seconds, but every time I click on the seemingly available time slot, the system just replies: The available spot in your reserved time slot is: 0"I swear people are exploiting the appointment system and scalping them

1 star is for the good service at the fee and collection window. The guy who reviewed and accepted my materials is not worth any star. The attitude is so bad that no one deserves to be treated like that. My materials are perfect. No modification or clarification needed. And yet I was treated with bad tones and throwing my things with bad attitude. And not even a word to remind me to do figure prints . I had to guess when the light was on . If someone who is in charge can see this, please fire those who can’t provide service with basic human decency. It’s just a humiliation and bad image of China. Very disappointed.
