Wonderful flours, and happy to know the grain are all local! Customer service is impeccable and anytime is have ordered flour, it’s ready for pickup that same day…..often milled that same day!!

I like their stuff but the bags they come in are so terrible. Even the cheapest flour I ever bought came in sturdier paper bag, whereas when my delivery from these guys came one bag was already torn en route. Surely you can come up with better packaging for your good quality grains.

I have been purchasing 1847's wheatberries for a year now, and they are of fantastic quality; Very high germination rate, near 100%. I have never felt, smelt, tasted such exquisite flour and its resulting products are truly phenomenal and above all the rest, without question.Melissa has been absolutely wonderful all this time; She is responsive, receptive, communicative.

I ordered their bread flour, rye and whole wheat flour and the quality is really good !! Free shipping over $80 which is a great deal. I used the Rye flour to make my starter and it worked very well.I ordered berries too but I haven't milled them yet.Andrew is very nice and flexible, i had to change my order twice. I already reordered.

The best flour you can buy in Ontario. I’ve been trying ever small local mill I can find for use when baking at home (sourdough, pizza, pies etc.) and I’ve never been as impressed as I am with 1847.

This flour is amazing and great value for your hard earned dollars! Melissa is very helpful when you have questions. I have made sourdough everything with their Daily Bread and Daily Grind MP flour (50/50 blend) … bread, bagels, English muffins, tortillas, chapatis and hotcross buns! I have also made yeasted bread. This is my go to flour for sure! They even offer free delivery… what more could you ask for! Thank you 1847 for upping my sourdough game! I love supporting local!

I'm just a normal home cook/baker and never thought much about flour. Over the last many years I always bought organic flour from Costco, but heard about 1847 a little while ago and instantly fell in love with everything about their business. I ordered my first batch of flours from them in August and will never go back to store bought flour now! Which sounds silly because I just always thought flour was flour. The quality of their flour, though, is incredible. It makes me feel like other flours shouldn't even be called flour, haha. We bought The Daily Grind, Run of the Mill, Spelt and Red Fife and have been absolutely delighted with each of them. Again, it feels weird to say because it is Flour, haha, but it honestly makes such a huge change in taste and makes you feel more connected to the land when it looks like nature instead of just a chalky white powder. We love getting to mix up the different varieties to create different tastes and textures. Just knowing that it is all organic and locally grown and supporting a family whose passion is clearly evident in the product- nothing beats it. Highly highly recommend to everyone.
