For Flux Sake Studio

Professional, entertaining and unique experience! My wife and I attending one of Jenny’s workshops and finished with a toothbrush holder and a cup. Was very accommodating and patient with us and instructed us every step of the way. Will definitely be returning to try it out again.

The two day hand pottery classes are so fun! You get plenty of clay to form your creation, and then you come back on session 2 to paint. Jen is a super positive and knowledgeable teacher so I always felt relaxed and had a lot of fun.This is located inside a climbing (bouldering) gym so there’s another fun activity to do before or after as well.

Attended a few of the sessions at the workshops & had a great time at all of them.Jen is an amazing teacher; full of energy & laughter! With her guidance, you feel as though anything is possible to be made even when you’re a beginner.Her workshops are great activities to do with your friends & loved ones as the hours whizz by when you’re having so much fun :)

I love Jen’s classes. She is very helpful and patient. She really encourages my creativity and she always says yes to my ideas, offering ways to help achieve them. Her classes are so fun and truly self care. The studio is inside a rock climbing gym and it is very clean spacious and well kept. Jen is very responsive to her messages so I can always ask questions whenever. The class size is small so its always fun to chat with others and to see everyone’s creations. I’m eager to book another class as soon as my work schedule comes out. Also, the price is fantastic!!!

Have taken 3 two day classes and it’s always been a blast! I started with no experience with clay. The classes were super friendly for beginners. I love that Jen lets you run with your ideas! She is always there to help guide you in the direction you want to go without stifling your creativity. Currently taking a 5 day course and I’m very excited to see what kind of new skills I will learn.Brought my boyfriend to try it out as a date night thing! Super fun!

I attended the two-day pottery class with friends and my partner, and I had an amazing time :D ! Jen was super nice and accommodating; I'm quite introverted and like to focus on my own thing, and Jen did her best to make it a comfortable environment at the workshop (i.e.: she played background music, checked up on me to see if I needed help). At the second workshop, we had to glaze the pottery and some of us didn't have enough time to glaze all our pieces due to time constraint, so Jen offered to spend her own time to help us glaze some of our pieces, including mine- I was very grateful for this! Overall, it was a wonderful experience and also a great opportunity to meet new bouldering friends! :)

I am writing this review from the parking lot of another pottery class where week after week I find myself being the go to person for advice on everything from how to create specific pieces to how to glaze them. I share this not to disparage the other teacher (much) but because Jen is such a kind, thorough, giving teacher/helper that she has given me these skills that I’m now sharing with others.Jen’s thoughtful approach to “helping” empowers all of her students to create anything they can imagine - she gives you everything you need to know for your own projects and working in a truly welcoming group setting means that you’re exposed to what everyone else is learning at the same time.I cannot recommend taking classes with Jen enough. She’s so passionate and it rubs off on you in the best possible way.

As someone who's last visual arts project was a handprint turkey in grade two, tackling something like pottery felt especially daunting. However, after attending Jen's clay workshops I feel really confident with clay! Jen creates a very welcoming and collaborative environment, where everyone is encouraged to be creative. Whatever your idea is (even if it a maple story mushroom bowl like me) she provides the technical guidance and support to help your art succeed. Great place to spend a Sunday and make new friends!

Amazing place to get started with pottery! I took the the 5-week course with Jen and it was such a great experience. Jen provides you all the necessary tools and techniques on different methods of hand building and really gives you the space to run with your creativity. She is an amazing teacher-informative, supportive, and always full of great suggestions as well! I would definitely recommend any of her classes and will be back soon!
