Sport Chek

I tried to place an order online for a pair of adidas shoes and the website showed it was low on stock. So I decided to call the store and confirm if they do have it in stock. The male sales associate from footwear confirmed the shoes were in stock and I could come and pick it up in an hour. He asked my name to put a hold on my order. I was at the store in an hour and I waited at the check out for half an hour for them to find the shoes that were put on hold under my name. Then I was made to wait another half an hour at the footwear for them to find the shoes. I was told to provide the item description number by the female associate at footwear. After another 15 min wait she couldn't find the shoes. Then I was introduced to the manager to raise my concern. The manager didn't show any sort of respect neither any sort of responsibility for wasting my 2 hours at this store. All she said was they likely have it packed in the inventory but can't sell it now. I was willing to pay upfront for the shoes so that sport check might show some responsibility when I come next time to pick up my shoes. She was not willing to do that and neither was she helpful in any regard. I was advised by the manager to go through the same circus next time which I am not willing to do, since I don't want to look like a fool myself and waste my 2 hrs on something so useless.Reply to owner : I already submitted my review at the link provided. That was the first thing I did after coming out of your store.

In this store you can feel the spirit of collaboration between coworkers, in some opportunities you may not get the item you are looking for even, you always get the form of support from any of the workers, it is important to feel that support of the staff from this or any other store, in particular I have never had a bad experience here. Keep in that way. Thanks for keeping a good atmosphere.

Where do I start. The staff avoids you, The store is a complete mess and when you find a good staff member they are so bogged down with work that you do not wanna disturb them. Also I am pretty sure at this point the floor at the Fort McMurry location is all gum and other sticky substances.

Long line ups constantly. The checkout staff works extremely slow and I have had to tell them multiple times to just scan the clothes and not worry about folding them. Then when you pay, they ask you a bunch of questions, But all you want to do is pay for your items and LEAVE.

We had a great shopping experience at Sport Chek (Peter Pond Mall), in Fort McMurray, AB.The staff were friendly, not aggressive, and were always available to help/answer questions, when we needed them.Sport Chek has many fashionable/durable/long-lasting/quality/name brand products/items to choose from. Sure you can get cheaper items, elsewhere, but at SPOT Chek you are paying for quality and the items will last much longer than a cheaper/lower-quality version, purchased elsewhere.There were no agressive sales people, pressuring us to buy something. We took our time, walked around lots and looked at many items.There was a short wait at the Cashier, while the person ahead of us was being served. The wait was nothing serious, maybe 5 mins.The Cashier was very friendly and professional. She folded every piece of clothing, and neatly placed the items in a heavy-duty shopping bag. We were given the option of printed, or emailed, receipt. We chose printed, received our items and receipt, and we were on our way.My Fiance and I, really enjoyed shopping, at Sport Chek, that day, and we got a few great deals.Good job Sport Chek

Terrible floor employees. Went to pick up an online order and waited 45 minutes on the floor. The front check out kept buzzing the sales people upstairs to bring it down who confirmed they would and NOTHING. I’m 8 months pregnant and left. Pre paid and everything. What a joke. No one would bring it down yet 10 sales people walking by me with nothing going on. Email said ready for pickup. Terrible location avoid.

Frustrating. Nice store in the mall with a decent selection. However staff generally uninterested in helping you. I have tried several times to get help with no success.Recently I wanted help finding an item for travelling I approached 3 employees who were standing chatting they simply told me to look it up online and went back to chatting. I asked if they could direct me they just pointed to the signs. This is the common occurrence. I will just order online I guess

I was given some of the most laughable service I've ever received at a Sports check last week. All I needed was one item and I was left alone for 45 minutes just to find out that they didn't have my size when the online store said that they had my size but Low in Stock. After this little frenzy, I was trying to get in contact with a worker who was in the area and he magically disappeared. I walked to the other side of the store to find a worker and asked for some help to find an associate to help me find another item. After the nice lady called asking for assistance, the individual was still no where to be found after 10 minutes. I wasted my time in this establishment and I don't think I would want to walk into this building again

Went to buy a mountain bike .. showed a sales rep the two I wanted to look at.. 10 mins later.. no reps could find either bike I requested .. even though the location showed stock on both units .. not the first time I've been to this location and had the same experience .. unfortunately shopping local in FM has become a thing of the past. Amazon prevails yet again.

Preety good during sale events n stuff, usually hard to find staff and mostly all left handed items in golf. Can never find a good right hand club or putter either they don't have it at the moment or out of stock. Thus the 3 stars, only because of the efforts of the small staff that work here.
