Darin is extremely knowledgeable and will actually take the time to explain to you the inner workings of the vehicle and why an issue has occurred. He was very flexible with scheduling an appointment and fit me into his schedule quickly. He fixed my van with ease and for a very reasonable price. Really nice guy, D.C.D. Automotive is now the only place I will be bringing my vehicle!

It’s never fun when you are stuck in knee-deep snow and learn that my car’s Splash Shield is contributing to the problem. I googled home/mobile automotive services and Darin’s D.C.D Automobile Services came highly recommended with a 5 star rating. We’ve had Darin service our vehicles 4-5 times now, and couldn’t be happier. He’s punctual, knowledgable, honest and a super good guy. Not to mention, having the work done at home is massively convenient.

Diagnosed reason for car not starting as a blown fuse. Located, purchased and replaced fuse. $130 for 1.5 hrs labour plus parts. Very quick, friendly and honest service. I am from out of town but if I lived here I would go back to Darin and recommend him to all my friends. His service to those in need in the community at no charge further supports my sense that he is someone who can be trusted.

I feel so lucky to have met a honest mechanic today. While pulling out of my spot in a parking lot my ball joint went looked like my tire just fell off. Lol Every where I called couldn’t take me in for a week minimum and I would have had to get a tow. Darin came in half an hour after we got off the phone. He was able to have me all fixed up in an hour to drive away. He is very knowledgeable and you can tell how much he likes helping people. His prices are amazing and he was seriously my angel today. There is no one I would rather give my money too. I have more things to fix on. my car and he is the only person I would call. Thanks again for saving my day and just being an awesome human! We’re new to Campbell River so took a chance on Darin. He came over within hours, quickly diagnosed the problem, and explained what was happening. We needed a new starter. Expensive part but necessary. He gave us a quote which included tax and labour. Then returned first thing the next morning and did the repair—less than an hour’s labour. So glad we took a chance on Darin.
