I worked here for well over a year and it was an amazing place, management is very caring of there employees. Never was I ever mistreated.When you don’t show up to your third shift being let go shouldn’t be much of a surprise to you quite honestly. Job depends very heavily on the attendance of the employees. Leaving a crew a man short like that makes the day 10x harder for everybody on the job.

Great move with Andy and Braydon. They were very careful with our belongings and were exceedingly pleasant nice guys. I would absolutely do another move with them. Thanks.

I called Tanya to see if they could do a move to Québec (since they’ve already moved me 3 times and some possessions in storage!). She didn’t hesitate.I packed on my own and obtained all supplies from NCMC. I ended up with a lot of boxes. An understatement.Joe and Chris and the Mighty T, did a pu of a dresser at my sisters for me, and then to my place. Joe “it’s gonna be tight….” He packed and stacked and Chris carted things and Mighty T and me and I have no idea how they did it.That 26’ truck was to the back doors. I take full responsibility of packing stuff really well. And a lot of boxes.House in Quebec has living quarters upstairs. Yup. All appliances up the outside stairs. 2 sofas, other furniture and all those darn boxes. Added Jake to the offload. Heat, humidity, an 8 hour drive and it was offloaded. And they used brains to know where to put things.One glass was broken. One. I’ll own that one, I didn’t pack it well enough.Thanks Kids! You be all awesome. Oh, I am not moving back. But I’ll bring cheese curds when I visit!!!

When searching for a moving company to move my Mother, Northumberland County Movers were recommended to me. From first contact with Tanya, I was very impressed. Tanya was professional, friendly and very helpful. The quote I received was very reasonable. On the day of the move, the fellows arrived on time and my Mother's items were placed with care into the moving truck. My Mother and I met the movers at her new residence. The fellows were very efficient, professional and friendly. I was particularly impressed with how kind they were to my Mother, and also that they were agreeable to being swabbed and wearing masks to enter Mom's new home. This meant a lot as we have learned during this moving process, this isn't always something people are willing to do. I HIGHLY recommend NCMC to anyone who is looking for a reliable, reasonable and professional company. The staff are AMAZING! A big THANK YOU for helping an otherwise difficult day go smoothly.

The men were on time and were in a good mood which helped everyone to enjoy the move. Their positive attitude and light hearted approach to the job was refreshing. They were considerate and quick. I highly recommend this company. And reasonably priced.

My mother was moving to a retirement home. The whole team made this a good experience. Tanya at the office was friendly and helpful. The movers, Tyler and Joe, were efficient and right on time. They worked quickly and did a lot of extra moving around of furniture left in my house. It was pouring rain and windy, and no service elevator where we were going. Not one grumpy comment or anything negative. I will definitely use them for my next move.

These folks are great! From my first contact with Tanya to shaking hands with the crew when the job was completed was a totally professional experience. Tanya was completely amazing with her explanation of the process, the timing and the estimated costs and she was spot on with her estimate!!The crew arrived in Toronto on time and did a walk through to get the feel of things and then started hauling stuff immediately, no standing around with these guys! Once the loading was completed, they took a quick lunch break and then drove to the new location in Port Hope. Immediately started unloading and we were completely moved in under 8 hours start to finish! Many thanks to Tyler, Chris and Isaiah for their great work and professional service, you guys rock!

From the front desk who coordinated everything to the crew who did the actual moving top notch. They took great care of my belongings and worked efficiently.Would highly recommend.

My family has moved a lot of times. We've used movers and have had terrible experiences. The worst experience was, two guys fighting over how to disassemble a table. If you're laughing and scratching your head, my sentiments exactly. I had to mediate and lead the disassembly.It is very refreshing to work with Northumberland County Moving Company (NCMC). They are a family owned business that refuses expansion for the sake of maintaining their quality.Tanya, the quarterback, is an excellent coordinator. She is responsive and attentive. Which is what you need to reduce the stress of the move. She has managed all expectations in rates, number of guys required and size of the truck needed. What I admire the most is that she underpromised and overdelivered.There were 4 guys who helped us and two of them were family members of Tanya. They are hands on! The other two have been with them for quite some time and that tells you something about the business as an employer.The fact is, they had to move a fully furnished, 4 bedroom single family home and they did it in 4 and a half hours with 2, 15-minute breaks (well deserved). Full disclosure, we moved only 30 minutes away. But if you do the math, that means they were lifting, maneuvering, climbing up & down stairs non-stop for 3 hours with full size furnitures and a lot of boxes filled with stuff of a family of 5. It was like watching a moving machine with a synchronized cadence.The furniture pieces were handled with much care. The best part of all of this is that the initial quote ended up to be a lot less. Time is money in moving and they did it 3 hours!I highly recommend NCMC. They cover the whole province and can help you with all your moving needs. Please don't rely on my words or other reviews. Try them out! If you've had substandard movers before, give it another chance with NCMC.
