Kulinarya Filipino Eatery
Kulinarya is a deliciously authentic Filipino restaurant with consistently friendly service. They are very covid-safe and have enough patio seats for ~25 people.I highly recommend the pancit Batil Patong (stir-fried noodles with veggies and ground beef), kare-kare (beef curry with a peanut based sauce), and the pig ear chips (don't knock it til you've tried it)! They've recently added plenty of comfortable patio tables and delectable cocktails that I can't wait to try! You must also get the halo halo (shaved ice with purple yam, ice cream, flan, coconut jelly and sweet beans). Happy to have this gem in the neighbourhoodEdit: 2nd time back and I also highly recommend the Okay na Okoy which are sweet potato and carrot fritters. Get the shrimp, it’s so delicious. I can’t recommend this place enough

Kulinarya is an absolute must-visit! We immersed ourselves in a remarkable array of Filipino dishes, each packed with flavors that were as authentic as they were delicious. Our utmost appreciation goes to Jessica, Roy, and the remarkable team whose names we may not have captured, but whose excellent service made a profound impact. Our culinary journey began with the Ginataang Kalabasa, a hearty dish of perfectly cooked squash immersed in creamy coconut milk, and Fried Daing na Bangus, milkfish marinated in vinegar and garlic, then fried to a tantalizing golden crisp. The vegetables throughout our meal were fresh and perfectly cooked, adding a tangible 'farm to table' quality to each dish.We also savored the Lechon Kawali and Kare-kare, a combination of crispy pork belly and creamy peanut sauce, and the national dish, Chicken Adobo, featuring succulent chicken simmered in a blend of soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and spices. Our gastronomic exploration continued with Beef Kaldereta, a comforting beef stew mingling with liver paste, bell peppers, and a tomato sauce, and the tangy Sinigang Pork, a soup bursting with pork, tamarind, and a vibrant medley of fresh vegetables.Next was the Pancit Bihon, a delightful creation of rice noodles, vegetables, and chicken, followed by Fresh Lumpia, light spring rolls filled with sweet and savory ingredients. Our journey culminated with the cooling Halo halo dessert, the perfect end to our meal which showcased fish, chicken, pork, and beef proteins in a truly authentic Filipino culinary tradition. The authentic and farm-to-table approach of this exceptional restaurant adds a touch of freshness that is unique to Kulinarya. Five stars all the way- thank you for making our visit so special.

This place has it's charm, and I'm sure that it's loved by many people. I can't say that I loved the food here, but it wasn't bad either. In my case, I found the feast that we shared among 12 people very impressive. The food was served on top of banana leaves which were placed directly on the table. However, you were expected to eat with your hands, and I was quite uncomfortable given that we were still going through the COVID-19 pandemic at the time. In any case, there were vast amounts of food, everything tasted fresh, and the cleanup afterwards was very fast. This feast also included the dessert Halo Halo, which I honestly did not like, but I'm sure it's an acquired taste.

Give a update for my experience, we did have a bad experience few days ago, I gave a one star review, one day after, I receive the owner’s email after the post review, I got the 50% refund from restaurant and the apology from the owner, I am not that mad anymore because the problem has been take care, the owner really care about the client’ voices. I am happy with that, But I still need to say, when the people choose your restaurant for a party, spend big money on it, that alway means the day is a big day to us, Some regret still exists. Thank you for your email and wish your business getting better

Omg! this is absolutely the best Filipino food I’ve ever had! This is by far a 10 out 10! The owner Rose is so nice, and the staff is absolutely amazing and friendly, I felt very welcomed and would love to bring more friends here to try real Filipino cuisine

Definitely one of our favorite Filipino restaurants in Vancouver! As a matter of fact, our food from our wedding reception back in 2021 was from Kulinarya. Ms. Rose was very accommodating! We fell in love with their food when we first tried them! Our favorites are their silog dishes, kaldereta, sisig, pork bbq, and their fresh lumpia wrapped in pandan crepe!Their commercial branch really gives this Filipino home vibes!

If you are looking for some Filipino flavours or just want to try something different, you need to try Kulinarya.Had a great dinner that included many dishes including bangus, canton bihon, pinakbet and lechon. All of the food tasted great and was served quickly. Portions were good and the place was busy.If you have room for dessert they have several good options, but on a hot summer day the halo halo can’t be beat.I do recommend you make a reservation as they don’t have a lot of tables and it is popular place. If you have a group you might want to try the Kamayan meal which is a great selection of food served on large banana leaves. You won’t leave hungry, that is guaranteed.

Can’t wait to come back again to try the Kamayan Feast! Everything we had here was amazing! It’s a really small restaurant so be sure to make reservations, even for two people. The Vegetable Spring Roll tasted very fresh and had the perfect crunch. The Crispy Pata (deep fried pork leg) was a bit hard for me, but great taste and a big portion for the price. The Kare-Kare (peanut vegetables) were yummy too, but I especially liked the Garlic Fried Rice - super garlicky!! We had the Cassava Cake for dessert and it was the perfect ending to our meal. Quality cozy food for a very reasonable price and good service. Highly recommend!
