The Farm at South Cove

We had our wedding at the Farm, and could not be happier with the venue. They helped us in every way they could, as we were planning our wedding from afar and had never even been onsite. They sent photos, answered questions and were very responsive. The team was onsite for the whole day and were above and beyond helpful. The venue was clean, set-up and soooo beautiful.I think it is a shame that some reviews of the venue are clearly disgruntled neighbours that want to dissuade folks from booking because of the noise. They were so respectful and considerate in asking that amplified music be wrapped up by 11pm and their staff stayed to ensure this happened. When we signed our contract, we understood this would be the case. We happily moved to acoustic guitars and fiddles for the next bit and enjoyed the immaculate grounds. Fresh fields of lavender, salty sea breeze, the cutest cabins and the nicest staff around.

Such a gorgeous event venue! From the hill with rows of lavender connecting bunnies to the barn area to the sweet waterside cottages, this is a perfect spot to hold your wedding or event.

My husband and I searched for a venue with.. an area to get married + an area to stay so my bridal party and I could get ready + a venue that allowed us to get in early so we could decorate + closer to Halifax. The Farm at South Cove checked everything off and more!Greg & Jill were fantastic to work with. Communication lacked a bit at times, but I remembered she's probably dealing with 4-5 clients a week and once the weekend came for our Wedding, I could text her with any questions and any issues were solved.They just installed hot tubs which was a nice surprise! And were put to use.This was the perfect venue for us and I can't recommend it enough.

This place is amazing. Overall wonderful experience. The owners take great pride in their establishment. The one thing to keep in mind is how awful it is to witness when local people try to tear down a local small business. Music complaints? It’s people celebrating a wedding for one evening. Negativity, don’t take at face value. It’s one person and their tribe of misery trying to tear down a small business. Book this establishment and celebrate the night away. You will not regret your decision.

I recently enjoyed my first overnight stay at The Farm at South Cove, and it truly is the perfect place to relax and unwind! The house is conveniently located 5 minutes outside of all the restaurants, shops and sightseeing in Lunenburg. It has beautiful views, modern decor, comfortable beds and everything you could possibly need (and more) in their gorgeous kitchen! I love the custom bunk beds they installed for extra space - I can’t wait to bring my kids here for a night!Farm at South Cove is also a wedding venue that I had the opportunity (as a photographer) to shoot at recently. If you are looking for the perfect backdrop for your memories and photos, I highly recommend considering FASC! There is an abundance of texture, beautiful old trees (including a giant cherry blossom!) and plenty of space for your friends and family to stay! There are so many reasons why I love shooting there and recommend this venue to my clients!!

Buyer beware! Aside from the untrustworthy management (see other reviews), they set up this business in a neighbourhood that was once peaceful, and it is driving the community out of their minds (and their homes). I spend a lot of time there and it has drastically changed the quality of life for the people that live there. Management of the farm" is unsympathetic. Choosing this venue for your wedding is also choosing to disrupt the community. The "floor shaker of a party" they sell you comes with this hidden cost - now you know."

We had our wedding here recently and it was the best venue! Truly beautiful, and even better than we could have hoped for. The staff was so friendly and amazing and worked with our other vendors to make sure everything was perfect. Would definitely recommend having your wedding or event here!

Love this place. What I saw at the wedding my wife and I attended last night was nothing but fabulous. The prep and set up was so very organized. The reason for only 4 stars was no fans for the barn as the people up stairs were roasting! Air movement would of helped a little. Over all great job. Serving 130 meals is no easy task. The meals had problems but tasted really good.

As a personal Chef and caterer, but also someone who has stayed numerous times on the property, this is one of my favourite venues and rentals in Nova Scotia. Truly a FIVE star location unlike no other.

Had the pleasure of attending my daughter's wedding at this venue and had an excellent time. The staff were very friendly and helpful.The views were absolutely beautiful.First time seeing the East Coast ❤️
