Was really looking forward to trying Monarca but was mostly disappointed. The decor is lovely and the interior of the restaurant is gorgeous. Their signature octopus dish was very well done with all the flabours and textures.However, I found the service subpar on my visit. Our table had a wobble and we asked twice to have something inserted to stabilise it. They never did anything about it despite being told someone is cutting something".We ordered "one" taco of a couple of varieties during Happy Hour. They gave us full orders off the regular menu and charged us the regular price. When we mentioned the amount of food and what we ordered to our server

Just ate here for dinner on a Saturday night; everything was fantastic (especially the habenero sauce offered at the start, and the banderilla cake which unfortunately I'd started eating before I remembered to take a photo!) Our server, Maria, was absolutely wonderful, as well.

First time at Monarca, loved the vibe, food and service! We were a large group and our server Gabby went above and beyond, she was helpful, attentive and friendly. Appies were my fave including Queso con Chorizo and Tostada de Arun y Salsa Macha. Killer pineapple margaritas, so delicious!

Food 4/5 Bone marrow is devine! Love the chips. The pulled pork taco is too salty.Service 5/5 Got a broken tumbler and the server apologized and remade the drink.Ambience 4/5 Chic and vibrant. Doorway is usually a bit packed and it’s on the way to restroom for half of the restaurant.Return likelihood 4/5 it’s actually our second time here and we’ve been to the Olympique Village spot as well.

Fun atmosphere, tasty food and amazing cocktails! We came in for dinner on Monday night and were pleasantly surprised. My only gripe was that the portion sizes were a little small for the price. I'll definitely eat here again, perfect for a nice date location.

Amazing found! Even you are not vegetarian, you must try veg tacos, squash tastes fantastic. Great margarita and mood here but it was little difficult to take order when under-staffed. Recommend to go after 6 because of that. Lol

Mixed Experience at Monarch: Amazing Food, Lovely Decor, but Disappointing discovery what is really under!I recently dined at Monarch, The culinary experience and the ambiance were undeniably impressive. The menu offered a wide range of flavorful dishes, each showcasing a perfect blend of flavors and expert craftsmanship. From vegetarian tacos to mouthwatering roasted cabbage, every bite was a delight. The restaurant's attention to detail in taste and presentation was commendable.The interior was tastefully designed, featuring elegant furnishings, soft lighting, and a charming atmosphere that enhanced the dining experience. However, the presence of three ants on the table and a dirty seat with food scraps were disappointments that marred the overall experience. Despite bringing this to the attention of Arthuro, the manager, he neither acknowledged our concerns nor offered an apology.In conclusion, Monarch offers amazing food and lovely decor, creating an enjoyable dining experience. However, the issues with cleanliness and the disappointing response from Arthuro make it difficult to wholeheartedly recommend Monarch as a top-tier dining destination.

We ordered bunch of stuff like Tapas style. It was great. Good place for small groups and something intimate. Great vibrant scene on Fridays and weekends. Loved it.

Great service by Marko, very friendly and charismatic. The ambience and decoration is amazing. Attention paid to every detail in restaurant. I also saw the kitchen by chance and it’s soooo clean- often I try not to look at kitchens in restaurants cause it’s dirty and grosses me out but this place was so clean. The manager was so kind. Truly a great place. Excited to try more items and enjoy the environment and kind staff.

The experience was good. Many options in the menu, and good type of beverages. Inside the place is great, but a bit noisy. But outside is excellent to relax and see people passing by and have a good time. Good options of restaurants in Vancouver. The food has a good taste, and the portions are good. It is better to do a reservation ahead, but also you can go and just ask for a sit. Also parking but you have too wait a bit. Overall 4/5 starts!!
