I would like to thank Apoorva Patel for being a robust pillar of support throughout my arduous journey wherein with her support, I battled the challenges of settling in a new country and successfully dealt with survival issues in the context of COVID, socio-economic and socio-cultural challenges. Her stellar training sessions and friendly counsel, pushed me to strive and improve my career, job prospects.

The staff here are extremely helpful and professional. They provide you with all the resources that you need and assist you in any way possible. Would definitely recommend!

Had 3 appointments here with Josepha, each one felt like I was starting all over. She pretends to take note but just throws them away after. Each time she asked me, who do you live with, what do you do for work and school, medical and mental heath history, all the basic intake questions so get to you know, but 3 times???? Didn't even remember my borderline and ptsd diagnosis. Very invalidating.I told her I was seeking a psychiatrist for updated treatment and she told me she has a resource to help me fast track seeing one. She said she would contact them and then let me know. The next session she gave me their number and said I had to do it myself. So I called and tried but I am a patient and do not have the same reach as the professional so I wouldn't be able to fast track my own psychiatrist referral. I got the feeling she didn't even try to reach out and and just got lazy and got me to do it.The feeling I got talking to her was that she just tries to talk about whatever for the sessions time. I came in to talk about one thing but he disregarded that and instead focused on a different topic that was not a current issue for me, giving me terrible advice. She doesn't care what you actually have going on, just talks at you for a pay check. She told me I CRY TOO MUCH and I NEED TO STOP.Seeing her was a HUGE waste of time. I have tried to switch therapists too, the receptionist said they would report her to the manager and call me back but never heard from them again.

This review is of the place and not the counselors. Went for the walkin Wed, didnt have to wait long. People trickle in, the receptionist was helpful.You get a different counselor every weekly walk in. Its a hit and miss being able to connect with a particular counselor. Thankful this free service is available to get a feel of what its like and if counseling is for you

I just want to say that I spoke to the counselling manager prior to beginning my therapy sessions. I am a domestically abused man who was abused by a female. I am also a medical doctor in my own right by education. From the beginning of my sessions with a therapist called Josepha, I felt she was highly authoritarian and did not listen to a single thing I said. For example, she would ask how can we work to help you". I would reply "with empathy

Great experience working with family services of peel. Diana & her team have been a great help & a great benefit to my life. Without them I would have not been able to get back on my feet. so I’m very grateful for their services & help & would highly recommend their help for your employment needs & help

I had two pretty good counsellors but it is difficult to stay in the program long term as there are time limitations. The unfortunate thing with the mental health system is access and often there are wait lists. In this pandemic situation, I am at risk for comorbid conditions.

Honestly don't bother with these guys. If you have money they gladly take uou but if you dont they will dump you off for someone who can pay more. Twice had them call confirming the appointment then the day comes and no one calls at appointment time. Not ever trusting therapist again, I rather kill myself than go to doctors who see you with dollar signs in their eyes.
