Hidden Gem in a small town!!! Top notch service, atmosphere and food. We were recommended here by the visitors centre on a cold and rainy day, and it was exactly the thing we needed to warm us up! We even got a couple of unique gifts from the gift shop :) we were beyond satisfied with all of our food and the caring service.

Spoondrift Cafè & Gift Shop
We arrived without a reservation and they seated us, even though they knew we would be there past closing time. I had the lobster meal and my husband had fish and chips. Everything was delicious! We were too full for dessert. We went back the next day and got coffee and dessert to take-out. Amazing service and delicious food.The people are caring and kind. Best restaurant in Louisbourg!

The spoon drift has a great cozy atmosphere with a costal theme. The staff were attentive and pleasant with great fast service coming all round. The most important part was just how delicious the food was. That soup was fantastic. Even just the wings were juicy and full. Also, the deserts were decident and delicious. Thanks to everyone there.

We had lunch after visiting the Fortress and enjoyed it so much we came back for dinner the next day. Seafood chowder was the best we’ve had! Fish and shrimp tacos were great! Lobster scoff was delicious! Darlene and her staff were amazing! Would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great, quality meal.

I was looking for a fill you up lunch and I found it here. Got to enjoy the patio while my 100%beef burger with gluten free bun option arrived with fresh hand cut fries. The service was fantastic and the prices affordable.

Great place. I went there for lunch, ordered fish taco with side salad. Then came back for dinner and got lobster. All food was really fresh & tasty. Service was good - friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended.

It's a charming place. The fish and chips are fine with a sweet coleslaw and amazing fries. The beer wasn't so cold. The caramel cheese cake was stupendous. I recommend

We are from Ontario and this was the best fish we have had so far. Wow ! If you are ever in historic Louisbourg this is the place to eat ! Great service ! Great food!

What an excellent little cafe/restaurant. The staff were very friendly and attentive, even with the restaurant being full. The seafood pasta was freshly prepared and served hot. Often these dishes lack the actual seafood. Not this one, it was loaded with haddock, scallops, king prawn, mussels etc. The deserts and cakes are equally appealing. If you’re near Loiuisbourg I would highly recommend a visit to this place.

I don't even know where to start.... this place was amazing!!! Super friendly staff saying hello before you're through the door!!! Service was great, such friendly ladies!!! Our dinner was top notch! Hands down the best seafood chowder I've ever had! Whole scallops and mussels in the shell. Chunks of fresh lobster and haddock! Also lots of shrimp!! There was almost no room for the chowder!! We had fresh haddock for dinner cooked perfectly! Check it out if you're in Louisbourg, you won't be disappointed!!
