The Scarborough Hospital: Emergency Room

Worst staff……even no one is here in every triage all the nurse on break…..this is emergency ward. At least one assistant always present

My adult son was injured on October 3rd and he now has a glass piece in his hand. The emergency wait was four hours. After freezing and checking the hand we were informed they were unable to remove the glass piece and referred him to a specialist for the following week. After a week, we met a specialist at Scarborough General ER. After a 3 hour wait for the doctor. The doctor looked at his hand and asked him to come back after 2 weeks. We are now in Scarborough General ER, waiting for over 2 hours to see a specialist. It is now almost month since he was injured, he is still waiting to have the glass removed. We do not know what recourse we have and why the long delay. There is no transparency as to what delays to expect or when a surgery will be scheduled.

I was brought here due to an incident while driving for work, the attention is good, the time could be improved tho, the staff is really nice n shows they care for its patients....unlike our politicians looking to privatize everything for a penny...

The worst waiting time experienced. We came at 2am for an emergency of breathing problem and waited for 4 hours to see the doctor. After that we took X-ray and another 2 hours wasted. If you can wait forever it’s fine or else Go somewhere else for an emergency.

I had pancreatitis attack and since i wanted to go home they would not allow me to take home meds but they would treat me at the hospital but due to my mental health I am better at home so they gave me extra strength Tylenol saying thats all they will give me at home. They have a complete lack of regard and respect for mental health and physical health.

None of the nurses were willing to help when I was literally about to die, making “ we are waiting for the doctor “ an excuse. But Lindsay was literally the best nurse in the whole wide world. Shout out to her she helped me in less than 15 minutes

We had an accident, so we went to this hospital's emergency department they took over 5 hours to register our details. Very disappointed. This is what they treat the patients.

My wife and I are in the pediatric department with our daughter. I see poor reviews on here and I d9nt understand why? The doctors and the nurses have all been fantastic with her, and seem to really care about not just our daughter but about my wife and I as well. The wait wasn't all that bad considering we went to emergency. I really can't say enough good things about this hospital from our experience. Thanks again to the fantastic staff, keep up the good work you all rock
