The service was very good! The food, you have to be into it to really appreciate it. The whole style of this place is having stuff marinated, which is not really for me.However, I can imagine someone loving. Worth a try, but not for everybody!

I hate to give a restaurant a bad review but unfortunately the service was really bad. Took us 20 minutes to be able to order, and finally when our food came, the drinks didn't come. Actually the drinks never came. It took us a really long time to get the waitresses attention (we actually finished our food) before we were able to ask what happened to the drinks. Then when asking for the bill, we asked for just one. But then two bills were brought to us.The atmosphere however was very nice. It was a good vibe to sit on the roof and enjoy the sun. And the food was interesting and fun to try!

Showed up on a Saturday afternoon, no room upstairs so I bellied up at the bar. It was pretty quiet downstairs, so I would recommend reservations upstairs. The head bartender was very knowledgeable about beer, and this place takes it very seriously. Kölsh served like in Cologne, it was excellent.Didn't try the food, but looked good, a lot of fermented food.A very welcome beer oasis in Chinatown.

Very cool, laid back resto and awesome place to grab a drink with friends or for a 5à7. Plates are on the smaller size, but the prices are very fair so you can enjoy sharing several plates. We ordered the Fermented fries (which was interesting to taste, has a sour-ness that can be a hit or miss depending on your tastes), the Daikon and Zucchini curry noodles that were fresh, light and delicious, the Polpettes beef meatballs that were amazingly moist and packed a punch of flavour with every bite, and finally their Pork BBQ was tender and falling apart just right. There's a cool looking terasse but they dont take reservations. So we sat indoors because there was space, and we were hungry, ut we will definitely plan on coming back!

THOSE FRIES! Opened the rooftop here the other day (was still hot enough that no one had braved it yet so we got the corner seats), by the time we left it was full. Deservedly so. From delicious tastes of two veggie dishes to share (the curry! so good) to fun cocktails/mocktails that make it hard to pick which one to order, to the impossibly tangy fries that fermenting the potatoes first somehow makes the end product taste like just the right amount of vinegar is cooked in without the sogginess vinegar adds?!? Many folks were enjoying the $3 small beers good cheap drink on a hot day. Great escape in the Chinatown area.

Interesting spot. Most of the menu consist of fermented stuff with a twist. I would suggest checking out the menu before going if you consider yourself less adventurous.A varied drink menu with options to satisfy all types. It can get loud as it's open concept with high ceilings.Plants everywhere which gives this jungle bar vibe.Good place for a good time.

Had a quick bite of their fermented fries (say what?!) Fantastic. Drinks are also great. My summer cocktail was perfect (wish there was just a tad less ice and a bit more cocktail). It was quite loud though I found.

We were 4 and we loved our little 5@7 here. They have pretty nice hip terrasse to enjoy and the food was pretty good : good crunchy fries, delicious curry and a nice burger. Overall, a good place to come with friends to hang out!

Bar-Lounge on the second floor in China town, Poincare has an upbeat and positive vibe. Very friendly staff greeted us, and over all took good care of us. Interesting cocktail options that were either sweet or sour or strong...something was available for everyone. The menu selection was eclectic Asian inspired...as we were not hungry we only ordered Fermented Fries (as your server about it) which was surprising good and Grilled Sourdought (which was really good). Like most of these places, the background music was loud so it makes conversation difficult
