TOTALLY useless. Sent me a generic email back about they are NOT responsible for credit cards (??) Who are allowed to charge a fee (duh) when my complaint was about Vanilla Pre Paid cards making money disappear from Thousands of people since 2012 (as per Google reviews) but CP is not responsible for credit cards ?? I guess I'm not a consumer of such ??? And not entitled to any protection ??? Or were they just unable to read a 30 second email ? Or unable to read period. Thanks for nothing ... how much tax dollars go here ?

Completely useless organization. All they do is explain to you why they will not help you, why your specific case is not eligible. It is a shame that they sit there, do absolutely nothing and get paid taxpayers' money.

just watched a cbc market place new documentary on ontario green savings and Consumer protection's role in essentially looking out for the scam company, ONTARIO GREEN SAVINGS. How is consumer protection not doing anything about shutting down Ontario green savings? They are literally getting complaints every single day and this organization that is supposed to protect public interest, does nothing. They keep allowing ontario green savings to run their scam operation. This makes me feel like ontario green savings and consumers protection are working in some sort of a partnership. I would definitely email my MP and have both Consumer protection and Ontario green savings investigated.

Extremely helpful with my case. I really appreciated that I didn't have to wait long before speaking with someone. They were really patient about taking down details of my case and looking into some things for me so that they could provide solid advice. Opening a case was a breeze, and they redirected me to a lawyer for the things they couldn't take care of. Overall I'm really satisfied with their help and so grateful that this service exists.

It’s time to investigate scammers that run repair shops like techknowspace that guy has been robbing people for over 10 years and Ontario does nothing! Go check the reviews literally every real review is someone being scammed by that place we need better consumer protection period!

spoke to a guy called Kamal. about a bookstore that is still enforcing masking madates that have been lifted. They wont do anything other then recommend other useless institutions that refer me back to the consumer protection ontario. his english was poor and he rudely hanged up on me. This place should be defunded and shutdown. would give negative 5 stars

Filing a warranty related complaint against Samsung Electronics Canada was indeed a mistake. Wasted my couple of weeks expecting a justice from a docile and useless organization like Consumer Protection Ontario. Rather than going into the merits of the complaint, they simply advised me to go to civil court and hire a lawyer. Wow, well done Consumer Protection Ontario. This department should be disbanded rather than wasting taxpayers money on keeping such useless administration where consumer rights were not even considered and rather humiliated.

talk about incompetent employees that just want to do absolutely nothing because they know they are getting paid to do absolutely nothing. Why the heck would they want to make an effort to solve your case when they get paid to not be helpful towards consumers. Also, the agents are extremely rude and hang up on you at the slightest inconvenience of being questioned because their 'feelings were hurt'.

I contacted Customer Protection Ontario today as I was overcharged a large amount on pool closing service by a company that I have used for several years. The agent (Anthony) was very patient and professional in listening to my situation debrief and providing feedback. Even the current situation / potential resolution may not be what I was hoping for, I still appreciate the detailed info and suggestion provided to me by Anthony. Thank you very much.
