Jane Dosman Paper Conservation

Jane applied her skills to six of my 140-year-old historic philatelic envelopes. The paper was delicate, there were chucks missing, bent corners, serious folds, etc. Now, besides being restored they have gained in value.Jane took the time to understand what needed to be done and came back with questions and suggestions. We worked together to get the best results. I will not hesitate to recommend her to my philatelic friends and to use her services in the future.

I contacted Jane from out of province to have a religious print of about 75 years old restored and flattened. She was very flexible in arranging for me to get the print to her and then kept me informed of the process along the way. She also held on to it during the Covid-19 crisis and allowed an appraiser to come and appraise the piece. I appreciate her professionalism and understanding of the value of this piece to me and my family.

Jane restored a poster of my Grandma's history that was over 30 years old. It was badly ripped. It looks perfect now. I was very impressed how she put it back together. A treasure has been saved!!!

Professional services with affordable pricing.I found an old wall calendar behind the walls of the old house that we’re renovating. I brought that to Jane for restoration as a piece of the 100+ years old house’s history. She didn't rush through it and took her time to do the work properly and professionally. The results were amazing. I had no idea how the calendar would look like before restoration, and now it just looks like an old calendar that has been handed generation after generation, instead of one which was sandwiched behind the walls for decades and collected a lot of dust.I should also mention that she is a very friendly and kind person, making doing business very enjoyable and easy.

Recently I brought two prints to Jane to wash and clean as they were almost a hundred years old they showed their age. It was important to us to preserve them for future generations as they were created by a distant relative and we are proud to have them.
