Great spot for some Chinese soup. Staff was very friendly and the portion was very big. The lamb soup is some of the best I've had.

This place is underrated and absolutely delicious!! Every time we eat here the food is amazing, the service is great and they’re conveniently located in Yaletown. I highly recommend eating here!

I had the laksa soup and red bean pancakes and it was really good. Lots of seafood in the laksa! Grand Chinese might be the best value dining on the Hamilton and Mainland strip. Room for big groups and families inside. They would benefit from an additional server. I Will go or order again soon.

I ordered delivery, 10 pork and chive boiled dumplings for lunch. The dumplings were raw on the inside. Literally, raw pork. It was still slimy. I ate the first one whole, noticed it tasted weird, and had a strange texture. I didn't want to spit it out in front of all my coworkers. I got home and boiled them just to make sure. They were definitely raw. I can still taste it now :(.

Excellent Chinese fare in Yaletown. I liked everything, but my favorite dish, perhaps surprisingly, was the Szechuan green beans. So tasty! I also tried the sweet and sour chicken, the mapo tofu, and the Shanghai wonton soup. I have not found many places serving pork wonton soup, so this dish alone made the evening worthwhile for me. The portions are generous. The waiter was very kind and managed our table well. All in all, I really like this restaurant and would happily recommend it.

Ordered a ginger beef lunch special ($15 after tax and tip) and was pleasantly surprised at the generous portion! Food was made fresh and still hot when I tucked in. I also like that they provide a nice sturdy reusable container. I'll definitely be back to try their other lunch specials!

Not really good. Their food is bland and mediocre. The “fried rice” is basically just fresh white rice with corn, peas and carrots stirred in. Not fried at all.Dont order “house special garlic chicken” it’s all bones

Decent experience dining at Grand Chinese Restaurant, Yaletown.The Xiao long bao was flavorful but most of the soup had drained by the time it made it to our table 3/5Spicy pig ears were average, they were spicy but but not as tender 3/5Szechuan style peppery chicken had the right amount of spice, although we had to ask them to make it spicier 4/5We dined there on a Sat night and the place was surprisingly empty, service was great!
