Tang Vietnamese Restaurant & Bar
Family operated restaurant with cool retro Vietnamese karaoke bar decor. The food is good, service is slightly slow and one of our orders were missed so we cancelled it, but the owner came out and apologized to us and offered us a small discount to make up for it. Appreciate the good service and would recommend this place.

Nice atmosphere for decor gives it a cool, unique vibe.Food is on the pricey side, ordered the bun bo hue, lacked flavor ordered a large felt smaller than a typical regular. Chicken wings (unique presentationas it was cut, I guess to check it was cooked?) part of the Combo was bland, had the crisp but minimal flavor.The lime soda was pretty good!Beef rib bun hoi, nice presentation ribs were tough... for a wrap dish, there was 1 wilted lettuce (maybe sat under the heat for too long).We came as we saw the reviews but very underwhelming. For the price would have expected a bit more, maybe even a bit more attentive service would have been nice.

This is a seriously underrated Vietnamese restaurant. Food is delicious, flavourful and fresh. The pho is flavourful without use of msg. The menu contains a lot of unique dishes not found in other Vietnamese restaurants. Service is always friendly.

If you ever would like to find a stop for quick lunch, or a great dinner in Richmond, Tang is the place. The moment I enter the restaurant, I can feel the the vibe of busy street in Saigon. The atmosphere and the food really match an authentic Vietnamese experience. The food is amazing. I special order seafood set menu and it can’t stop the amaze me. I don’t need to flight back to Saigon for these food any more because I can find it here. From salted egg crab to garlic razor clam, crispy fish wrapped with tamarind sauce… all are made to perfection!Highly recommended when one need to find a true experience of Saigon cuisine.

Modernized atmosphere for a Vietnamese restaurant. Salad and spring rolls were extra delicious. Broth was fine, Pho was better then average. They have a combo, pho, appt and drink for a reasonable price. Neat decor… and they have Karaoke nights.

Flavorful BBQ Pork Banh Mi - Generous and Crunchy!The BBQ Pork Banh Mi had a perfect balance of flavors. The portion was generous, the meat was tasty, and the bread had a satisfying crunch. Highly recommended!

I was impressed, the food was so authentic yet so delicious. Oc len with coconut milk is my must try I've always wanna ordered it as soon as I saw that plate on the ig, fried fish is crispy outside and juicy in sinde not dry at all, dipping sauce has perfectly made, I wish they served with rice paper that would be better.I would give the salad 4 stars as it a little bit too sweet for my taste. But overall everything is so good, and I will come back again to try their hotpot and other dishes on the menu.

Servers were nice and friendly, they were happy and assisted us immediately when we said we wanted to change table. Dining area and even washroom were so clean that we didn't even have food smell stuck on our clothes after leaving. Food came out pretty quickly. We ordered butter beef, deep fried prawn with salted egg, fried chicken wings, grilled scallops with tamarind sauce, chicken feet with lemongrass and rice with grilled chicken.Butter beef: a must try if you visit the restaurant. It's light and yummy, great combination with garlic and butterDeep fried prawn with salted egg: prawns were soggy and made crunch and flavours faded awayFried chicken wings: delicious, however it's a bit blandGrilled scallops : too sweet even it was with tamarind sauce, I couldn't even taste the sournessChicken feet: cold and too sweet but it's good overallRice with grilled chicken: chicken was a bit sweet but had a nice taste

Servers were nice and food was very delicious as well. Chicken is crispy and appetizing. Would definitely come back for the butter beef next time
