I’m incredibly unhappy with their services during the purchase of our home. They don’t respond in a timely manner and when they do they only answer a portion of your question. They can’t be bothered to explain how anything works which was extremely stressful moving here from another Province where things are quite different. I ended up with late penalties on my municipality taxes because they emailed me a bunch of paperwork and didn’t bother to say « make sure you read the part about the taxes because you owe money ». Moving is stressful and it would have been nice if they had shown some understanding in that regard.

Worst service!! Trust me and NEVER NEVER choose them. You deserve better service. Vey unprofessional, impolite, irresponsible. We the customers pay you to facilitate the process, not to let you cause ourselves trouble.

Positive --Having read some of the comments, our experience had rather been slightly more positive than others. We had Mte. Lynn Wazzan as our notary from the Brossard office. I felt she was professional and did a good job, given the amount of time we spent in her office and during the final transaction. She was responsive and attentive to our questions.Negative --We've never used Bessette Notaires. They were referred by my wife's two coworkers who've both used them. When you call them, it'll directly reach the secretary. You wish to get to know your notary first before you hire them. For some reason, I felt that the secretary doesn't want to bother transferring you to talk to a notary unless you're serious... The first time we spoke to our notary was the day we had to go for our first meeting. Good thing we were appointed Mte. Lynn Wazzan, and that she is reliable.There was a mis-communication because at one point, the secretary called us to bring the down-payment cheque, which we brought during the first meeting. That scared us, and she never called back to either apologize for the mistake/confusion. That's a no-no.

I asked to get a legal will drawn up, I used their website to request pricing, I wrote in English not thinking, but always fully expecting that everything would be in French, as we are in Quebec, their response was (Hi, I'm sorry we don't offer will in English for an indefinite period. we are sorry for the situation have a nice day) I was so angry at this response as the drop down menu is for requesting pricing NOT my understanding of the French language.They indefinitely cant help me I indefinitely will not use their service.I then wrote through their chat service that I would like a will drawn up in French however I was refused, Marie-Audrey replied that they just PRESSUMED that I didn't speak French. She advised a notary would be in touch.The notary Karine wrote me an email, she NEVER once apologized and said that they did not refuse me service but that they HAD advised me that the service was only in French, (LIES as I have all correspondence saved and never once was this mentioned) you can clearly see from the way they responded above that I was not offered anything only brushed off, I wrote Karine back but she has not responded. I assume she wont have the heart to apologize or admit to fault. They assumed I cannot understand speak or write in French.Which is absolutely absurd, all I did was write in English that I was looking for a legal will. I could be a linguist and speak 17 languages for all they know. This is repulsive behavior, its prejudice (AU MAX) and I really hope that they treat their customers better in the future because of this.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Do not chose them for your business. I am still waiting for them to get back to me about my property after 1 year and no answer. I had to call the city for them to tell me what was going on. They take your money and give you no service.

We used Magali as our notary during our home purchase and ended up having some difficulties with the sellers. Magali was amazing! She stood up for our best interests, even when dealing with a lot of aggression from the sellers. She made sure the contract was honored and was extremely professional, even during some very tense moments. Could not have been happier with our choice! Thank you!

Stay away. Once you have paid, they do not answer their phone nor do they answer their emails. They forget to notify clients of time and location of meetings. We had to reschdule twice and almost lost the purchase of our home. We had to go in person to confront the notary and still they did not excuse themselves for their poor service. Take your money and business elsewhere

stay away from Caroline Bisonette. Not responsive. Caused us a lot of stress, extra fees and concern our deal would fall through.
