Stittsville Dog Park
Absolutely dreadful place to take your dog in the summer. Filled to the brim with wild parsnip, which can cause severe burns to your skin when exposed to sunlight. Avoid this area at all costs. To the city of Ottawa, get your !$#@ together. STITTSVILLE IS COVERED IN WILD PARSNIP. DO SOMETHING OTHER THAN MAKING SIGNS.

A unofficial dog park on the hydro and private land at the moment. A fun filled forest trail to explore where your dogs can run off leash and have a good time. The area however is going to go under huge transformation with Cope Dr going through the middle of the dog park to Shea road and there is a plan to develop the land south of Cope Dr to Fernbank road for residential units in 2023-24. The dog park will be shrunken to small area. I hope the city cleans the area and make it like Bruce Pit for the dogs to run off leash in fenced area. Looking forward to the development soon.

Would be a great place to walk your dog if everyone walking their dog had actually trained recall properly. Took my dog on leash for some exposure training and everyone’s dog would run at him and their owners couldn’t get their dogs off.Since people let their dogs go off leash without proper training it could be a place of disaster for your dog.

Awesome trails, wonderful people, stunning forest setting with tons of trees but a lot of poop bags thrown about and lots of poop not even picked up at all. I believe this is an unofficial dog spot where they can go unleashed. It's in behind a church. Lots of parking but no real open areas for ball/Frisbee play, no washrooms and no garbage bins. My dog loves it here, enjoys the socialization and loves to leas the pack! I enjoy chatting with the other dig owners and getting my hike on!

Great dog park, great community around it. Many paths, wide area to walk, both forest and flat area for the dogs to run. No place to throw dog poop bags, so ensure you bring it home and dispose of it properly.

Beautiful park where all dogs are off leash but everything remains orderly! Honestly the best dog park I’ve been to!

Stittsville Dog Park
Used to be great but over the pandemic there was a huge strip of trees cut out from the middle of it, which was and still may be fenced off. Not sure if it's for power lines or a future residential path, either way it currently isn't as good as it was.

I love this dog park. It’s large with lots of trials to walk. People and dogs have always been friendly when I’ve gone

Grateful to have this (unofficial) dog park in the west end. Tons of trails in the forest, so it is easy to get lost, however the paths are well treaded and there are white hearts painted on the trees for a sense of direction. The park is currently divided in two with construction putting in a road that divides the two sections of the forest. Parking is at the church across from scared heart high school. I like this park because it's not as busy as Bruce pit. It is good for dogs that are a bit timid around big groups of people and dogs. Not good for dogs that have poor recall, as this is not a fenced dog park.
