Saskatoon Vision Therapy

This place is a game changer for people who have suffered a concussion. I suffered from migraines, double vision and my eyes deteriorated horribly after the accident. I didn’t know where to turn and prescription drugs were a bandaid fix. I got an evaluation at Saskatoon Vision Therapy and decided to do a 10 week (1day a week for 45minutes) therapy program and it has literally changed my life. I don’t live in Saskatoon so they offer in person or a hybrid of in person/virtual appointments. My recommendation would be to do the in person sessions as they can help evaluate your progress and make changes to your treatment plan as needed. They put me through a program that was catered to my deficiencies and retrained my brain which made my vision improve AND I now have rare, if any, migraines. There is hope and there is something you can do to help with post concussion issues. Thanks so much to Dr Dupuis and Dawn for everything you have done for me. I am pleased to report I haven’t had a migraine in weeks and my double vision has been reduced dramatically:)

I love a place that genuinely cares for the patient, that alone was worth every minute of it.While I had a concussion I was desperately looking for ways to progress my rehab & lessen my pain related toy concussion.Dr. Dupuis shipped me specialized glasses as I live in Edmonton to go through a series of daily session with it, as it is designed to work through color spectrums to get the brain to recover faster and it was massively helpful.I would recommend these guys to anyone looking for alternative ways to overcome eye related issues, sports players looking to enhance their reflex abilities and concussion related injuries.I have even taken my daughter for a second opinion when she was told she will end up with a lazy eye down the road. Dr. dupuis recommended exercises and proper eye wear regiment to make sure she has ever tool and understanding of what she can prevent and do to help progression of it.All in all highly recommend a place that takes time to educate you and provide alternatives when everyone else gives you a prognosis with a “it is what it is, live with it”.Thanks again :))))

I was referred to Saskatoon Vision Therapy by my optometrist after a car accident, and am so grateful to the whole team there. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful, and made my weekly trips to their office as enjoyable as possible. I learned a lot, the treatment has made a big difference, and I'm leaving with the tools to maintain those changes. Worth the expense!

The optometrists and staff are great. Our child made great progress over the course of their therapy. Frequent re-assessments, goal setting and variety of exercises that we could choose from. We had a very positive experience. More people need to know about the benefits of vision therapy!

I was referred by my optometrist to Saskatoon Vision Therapy for my double vision (strabismus). I had surgery to correct this but my brain just was not cooperating and I continued with vision issues for about 9 months. This program has really helped my brain to get onboard with my perfectly aligned eyes. It was a lot of hard work on my part but my hard work really paid off. I was finished the course in the first 10 weeks and am now on a 4 month maintenance time with weekly eye exercises. I do not have to do the second 10 week course which is very positive for me. This therapy certainly works for strabismus, if you put in the work and do your eye exercises regularly.

My son had struggled for years with reading, writing, comprehension and more. After finding Saskatoon Vision Therapy and completing our customized therapy, every area has seen immense improvement. I can’t recommend enough!! It’s a relief to have finished, due to the drive (I’m over an hour away) and the commitment to keep up the exercises (completely worth the work!!). But it’s bittersweet, as my son and I will truly miss the incredible women that make up this amazing team. You really are the best! Made us feel welcome, at home and were very compensating whenever it was needed.

My Daughter had an amazing experience with Sasktoon Vision Therapy! Always beautiful welcoming hellos when you walk in!! The growth she made in the 10 sessions she did was absolutely amazing! The hard work pays off! To see her struggling with reading in school and never wanting to, to reading books almost everyday! Also to see the confidence in her grow in many ways was very great feeling to see as a parent! Highly recommended!!

We are very thankful for everything SVTherapy has done for our little girl. She was having trouble reading. Her teacher recommended Dr. Robbyn. She is a true expert in her field. Our therapy tech was Sabrina and always made us feel welcomed and was very patient with my LO and myself when explaining the task for the week. I highly highly recommend SVT.Mrs. Elise at the front desk is so kind and will be missed. I hope that whoever reads this will take the therapy or take their children if they need it because I am certain that my daughter is now reading and feeling so much more confident in school and in sports. She did two 10 week blocks. Well worth every penny and fyi parents commitment to daily exercises is key. Again, worth it.

We drove 3 hrs one way once a week for 15 weeks. I would do it all over again. Not only is my daughter doing so much better in all aspects of school she’s more confident and doing homework on her own. I would recommend Vision Therapy to anyone who has a child that’s struggling. All the staff was absolutely amazing and so accommodating!

Dr. Borstmayer and Sabrina did an amazing job working with my son and his Superior Oblique Palsy and Bailey in Admin is so helpful! The improvement made in 20 weeks is substantial and most importantly he now has the skills to continue training on his own. Previously, he was told surgery was his only option. So grateful for the Saskatoon Vision Therapy team!
