Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ
I visited this place recently and tried their vegetarian options and had Garlic noodles, Vegetable spring rolls, Sweet potato fries and Garlic fried rice. As this is not the place I would go out of my way to try as they do not have that many vegetarian options but out of all this things I tried I would say everything is pretty decent except Garlic fried rice and I would not try that again. Giving 4 stars because the price is competitive, staff was nice and service was quick.

Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ
We arrived on Tuesday at 5:30 and made it in time just before happy hour, which ends at 6 pm.The quality of meat was excellent for the price, and the staff here were all so polite and attentive. There is a good variety of menu items without being overwhelmed.Be prepared for your hair and clothes to be smelling of the BBQ smoke after your meal.

Stumbled upon this place while walking and looking for refuge from the cold. Turned into a fun dinner being able to try different meats and cook it yourself. Staff was great and attentive, food tasted great, too. Prices were reasonable. Awesome stop in Toronto.

Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ
Gyu-Kaku is a well-known international chain of Japanese BBQ restaurants that originated in Japan. The location at Adelaide and Church offers a wide variety of food options that vary depending on the region and availability. They offer a la carte, course, lunch, and seasonal menu items. The restaurant is available to reserve a table through Open Table, and they have happy hour all Monday long with great deals and cost savings.Upon arrival, the staff was welcoming and checked our reservation. They guided us to the table and mentioned all the standard processes from the menu to beverages and the dedicated staff for our table. Note, their sauces start from the red sauce of spicy sauce, ponzu sauce and sweet sauce. Our table ordered the Melon Soda Float, Kyoto Sunset, and the Yakiniku Party course meal that is meant to serve 4 people. There were over eight starter options and ten protein items in the course meal, and the delicious dishes were the Chicken Garlic Noodle, Prime Kalbi Short Rib (Sweet Soy Tare), Umakara Ribeye, and Umakara Pork. Their Umakara sauce was particularly delicious. The course meal also included s'mores for dessert. The staff did a great job of cleaning and pacing the table, managing dish and table organization very well, and cycling out empty dishware. They kept the water replenished at all times and were informative on the serving and cooking times of each meat item. They also provided some table sauces per person that flowed from a spicy red sauce to ponzu and sweet for the other end of the three-tray dish.It is important to note that the restaurant is not all-you-can-eat. While cooking your own food can be a fun experience, the restaurant has a poor ventilation system that could be improved. Some restaurants have a better setup for reducing the BBQ smell, which can stick to your clothes. Also, they do offer takeout raw Gyu-Kaku meat that customers can cook at home.

Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ
First time been to a restaurant that the guy hosting me to my table (who I believe to be a manager/supervisor) wear too much of his cheap perfume. Please make it easy for people to breath. Customers want to smell tasty food, not your staff’s cheap perfume! This ruined my whole dine-in experience.

Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ
The food was amazing, it was my first time trying Japanese bbq and absolutely loved it.We bought the all you can eat premium and ordered pretty much everything and its was delicious. The servers were really friendly and kind, and knew how to dealThe only reason why I m giving 4 star is because of their ventilation system, they don’t really have one. If you BBQ creates smoke you just wait for it to go away and it makes you suffocated

Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ
We were there on Sunday apr 9, 2023. It was not busy during lunch time (around 1pm). They had many empty tables but still our group of 5 adults were seated at a 4 seated table. Table was too small to put all food order. We ordered the meat variety" combo in addition to 1 order of garlic noodles and bibimbap. Food was good
