The Postmistress must hate her job as she is curt, rude and mean. The rest of the staff have taken a similar attitude lately, and seem to revel in an unwarranted level of berating the customers. My last visit started with getting curly told not to leave a bin of parcels when it was them that asked us to do that. Darlene even came out and asked her staff if they talked to me (as if I wasn't there). Then I was rudely told to move as they needed social distancing with customers even though we both had masks. Although Kemptville has similar poor ratings, we will try it out, as such outward negativity is unhealthy as a recipient. Ask any Merrickvillian, this is how the branch is as directed by the Postmistress.

Got a card in mailbox saying pickup. Nothing more. Didn't know if a letter or parcel.Arrived there and it was a parcel too heavy for me to carry as I'm disabled.Asked the rude lady why it wasn't delivered.Her reply. item too heavy"I asked then "then why did Canada post except it?"She just shrugged and loaded it on a trolley and said here.I told her I had a disability. She replied in a condacending way. Sorry about that.I asked her to help me get it to my vehicle. She blatantly refused and said if you don't take it

As a local I've been dealing with this post office on a regular basis and would say the service is bad at least 90% of the time, but today was the last straw:I was waiting for a parcel from France and the tracking showed as delivered" 3 days ago on the "French Post" website.Yesterday I went to the post office

If I could give zero stars I would. Complete garbage service and terrible customer. The one old lady at the counter is always incredibly rude and dismissive of any minor question you may have, and acts like any minor questions you may have are a huge inconvenience. Literally probably the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced anywhere. Mail is also consistently late, tracking is in accurate, and packages often stay “out for delivery” for multiple days on end. Do everything you can to avoid this place.

Postmaster answered my questions with short sharp answers. No real care for service as is my experience at most Canada Post locations I have been to. It seems to be systemic in their culture. Asked them how they felt about losing so much business to other carriers who go the extra mile and deliver to your house. Got back a response We have been around forever

As someone who recently moved to Merrickville and has been to many post offices in the past and has always recieved knowledgeable and courteous customer service, I am appalled. The staff at this location are by far the most arrogant and ignorant people I have ever seen working in customer service. The one lady( manager) is always obnoxious; never courteous or helpful and on more than one occasion has gone out of her way to make the entire experience terrible.If it is possible to not support this post office; please do not as they will never learn. The fact the Store Manger let's this continue day in and day out is problematic.All the negative reviews are spot on.Avoid like the plague.

Very poor service with poor customer service. I use this post office often and rarely have a friendly encounter with the older post lady. If you need tracking on your packages, you’re best to stand in line and wait to watch them get scanned. Several times I have dropped off packages in the bin where they ask me drop them off, and 18 hours later they are still not tracking. This happened to me 4 times for that long amount of time. These specific times I went back to the post office and found my packages still sitting in the bin waiting for someone to scan them in. I pulled them out and waited in line to make sure for myself that they got done.Frustrating. Especially when you get timed on your shipping speed in your online small business.

Sometimes they leave notices and other times they don't even though online it'll say a notice of shipment was left. Very inconsistent. Sometimes they come to my door and other times they don't.I also overheard a woman saying a parcel wasn't delivered and the service worker said it happens. Leaving the woman with nothing to figure out where her item might be. I felt so bad for the woman as it was a gift from her daughter. The service worker should have tried to find the package or something. She didn't even apologize to the lady.

The new hire...Mike?...is awesome. Friendly, polite, patient, helpful...hope we get to keep him.

old lady’s a horrible person and hates people, as her horrible disposition would indicate. bae needs to quit her job and stop acting like she has the worlds hardest job. scan the mail and call it a day u miserable witch
