The best wine list...Wine SpectatorGrand Award recipient for over 20 years!!! One of the best restaurants between Vancouver and Toronto....and an easy shuttle to one of the better ski resorts in North America. A great getaway.

Classy place. Right up there w/ its European peers in places in Kitzbühel, St. Moritz or Lech.Went for our annual skiing trip back to Canada. Besides the US, we skied and stayed in many places in Austria and Switzerland. The Post Hotel is absolutely on par w/ the best. The hotel is low key, yet has class and an authentic style. It offers all the amenities one would expect from a top rated destination, yet in a casual and unassuming atmosphere.Service was impeccable; staff was professional, personable and friendly at all times. The food offerings and wine selection… HEAVENLY. Chef of Swiss decent, need to say more? For the discerning guest, who does not require the flashiness of ritzy resorts but prefers winter sport in a classy, elegant yet casual atmosphere, The Post Hotel is THE place to go (or return) to in Lake Louise.

My partner and I went for dinner at The Post yesterday evening. It was by far the culinary highlight of our trip in Lake Louise. The food was exceptional and the service was seamless from start to finish. The sommeliers Julian and William were top notch and made some great recommendations. Our only regret is not going more than once!

The Post Hotel is a good example of what you get when there's very little supply of housing and a lot of demand for it in a vacation town. Spending $400 CAD on a summer room that is sweltering hot in the summer but nevertheless has no air conditioning seems a bit nuts. The hotel is nice and clean, the restaurants are decent enough. The location is amazing.

This wasn't our first time visiting Post Hotel. Since our last visit the prices went up and the quality went down. We loved our room, the staff were friendly: always smiling, helping out when needed. However, when we went for lunch, the table cloth at our tale was dirty. The waitress literally flipped the table cloth and placed candles on dirty stains. Table cloth was ripped and so was the cloth napkin I had. During our stay we got two dirty spoons (with dry food on them) and two dirty beverage glasses. The cushions of the chairs at at the dining area were absolutely disgusting: old wet stains were quite dirty and visible. The pool railings are rusty and gross to the touch. The food was good, but the same menu as years ago. I was hoping for new menu but that's ok. Other then that- we enjoyed our stay: saunas, steam rooms, pool and other rooms were fantastic. It is a very relaxing place, I loved the spa and the view.I strongly recommend Post Hotel to wash the chair cushions, order new table clothes (or at least have extra to replace the dirty ones) and napkins. Also please, do not just flip the table cloth with stains and clean silverware and beverage glasses well. Gross.

Great location with river views, walking paths with bridges over the streams and river, and fast access to nearby shops. Hotel and rooms have a worn in but comfortable luxury look and feel. Prices are high but you get a luxury mountain experience.

One of the great ski lodges in the world. Hospitality as good as it gets. Old world cuisine that is a rare and exceptional treat. The type of place that feeds the soul. Thank you to the team at the Post for creating magic.

Visited in the summer of 2022. Magical experience and here’s why:- Stayed in river-facing room (not one of the cabins). No air conditioning but you 100% don’t need it. It doesn’t get hot and the whole hotel is very breezy. Rooms are well maintained. Ours had a fire place and came with a small outdoor porch! The complimentary fruit basket was very fresh and a nice touch. The rooms feel like a European chalet! The hotel staff are impressive. We asked for extra towels and someone showed up in less than one minute!- They serve complimentary afternoon tea on the lawn and you can buy assorted pastries. We loved it. Only advice to management would be to find a way to enclose the space so you don’t have a view of the parking lot in the distance.- The breakfast buffet provided a hearty meal before a full day of hiking. The dining hall is peaceful and quiet. Fluffy eggs!- One aspect that was particularly enjoyable was the cocktail lounge. Guests converge here in the early afternoon. They open the doors of the hotel and the cool breeze is *very* refreshing. The drinks were were tasty and creative. I had a drink called “Moose Milk” and got two. The bartenders are pleasant and have good advice for visitors.- Had the five course dinner and was delighted with both the food and the professionalism of the staff. They did a good job helping my girlfriend who can’t have gluten! You won’t be disappointed.Telling all my friends this is the place to stay in Banff. Location is close to key locations and a great place unwind after a long day.P.S. - They have a massive DVD library and we had a lot of fun selecting movies after dinner.Don’t bother with the Fairmont!

We had a great one-night stay at this hotel. The private jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and the public salt water pool, hot tub and steam room were all fantastic. After days of hiking and eating in upscale restaurants surrounded by people, we were relieved this hotel offered room service (most places we stayed at did not). We also had massages at the spa within this hotel. The spa facilities were amazing, and we wish we had realized they had spotless steam rooms and whirlpools in the spa changing rooms, as we would have planned to spend more time at the spa. The massages themselves were only ok....extremely light touch, not sure any knots were worked out since it was so weak. Also, my masseuse decided to douse my scalp in peppermint oil, which got really close to my eyes and burned like heck. If, like me, you are not a fan of peppermint oil near your face, you might want to say something beforehand. It made it hard to enjoy the rest of massage since my eyes and scalp were burning. For the price, I would not recommend getting a massage here, but I would recommend the hotel.
