Utterly useless. Got there a few minutes later than opening to get a suit altered. There was a “be back in 10 minutes” sign on the door. Fine, people need breaks. After waiting for 40 minutes at the door and then knocking and calling the number, nobody came. It’s like the owner has no care for their clients. Will never return

Never had a problem here - been a client for close to 15 years and can safely say I have always been happy with the work

Was told this place is great, but after my experience today.. I have to give it one star. Due to 'miscommunication' only one side of my jacket got fixed when I clearly said both. The lady working said I'd have to pay again... Regardless of communication the situation was handled unprofessionally... Never going here again

I brought a formal gown in to be hemmed to tea length. The dress had many layers of tulle. When I got the dress back a week later, the tulle had been literally hacked: marked by raw, jagged scissor cuts and it was completely uneven. The dress was at least 2.5 inches longer on the left side than it was in the front. It was clear that they had not bothered to measure anything or use a dress form. The lining was at least 3 inches shorter than the tulle (and when asked, the seamstress at Pelican stated that is how it was supposed to be.) The white crinoline (which is not meant to be seen) was hanging out beneath the liner in sections. It looked terrible. I was devastated; close to tears. My custom-ordered dress was in very bad shape. With only hours away from the event I was meant to attend, I ended up taking the dress to another seamstress to repair it (Pelican did offer to have another look at the dress after I called, but I didn't trust them to do further work on it given the state I got the dress the first time.) The new seamstress had to even out the tulle and add additional fabric to the liner.I will not be returning to Pelican Cleaners and Tailoring for alterations. I think I deserve the $80 Pelican charged for the hem job back... if not the $133 I paid for the dress and the additional $20 to purchase additional liner fabric.

Absolute WORST sleeve shortening I’ve ever seen in my life. (Men’s suit jacket) Have used them for a quick hem here and there, but when I saw their idea of how a mans jacket sleeve should be shortened, just wow.

Worst cleaning service ever! I brought my coat in perfect condition they completely damaged the leather around the zipper and pockets. When I realize, I go back to the owner, he tells me I'll contact the cleaning company that we contract but don't worry in any case either we repair the product or replace it. Finally, he tells me that the company told him that the coat was received as is and that this damage was produced during the first cleaning. I would like to specify that when I reported the problem it was visible by the owner's reaction that he was well aware that the coat was damaged but just wanted to play the innocence card.I then pointed out to him that my coat had never been washed and it is to avoid damaging it that I took it to a specialized cleaning service. He then tells me but by the way it's not real leather, that's why the leather has melted. I am shocked by such a statement because it is the role of the cleaning service to do the job of knowing which material goes into which machine. I inform the owner that this coat is very dear to me and I would appreciate his good faith in compensating me.He asks me for time to see what he can do and ends up calling me back and telling me the same thing again the cleaning company says that the coat was damaged. I inform him that I don't have to hear what this company says since it's with him that I've done business, so it's up to him to make sure that they take responsibility for him and him for me. Finally, he ends up telling me once again that he'll see what he can do and ends up calling me back and saying we'll reimburse you for the cost of the cleaning, so $30, for my $300+tax coat!I inform him that it's unacceptable and ask him for $100 (1/3 of the price) so I can fix it, which I really don't consider excessive. He stubbornly says no max 80$ and ends up once again saying I'll call you back. He ends up asking his partner to contact me and she employes the same rhetoric that it was damaged. I really then understood the bad faith of these people who really bet on the psychological exhaustion of the customer who will end up giving up.As a matter of principle I will sue them for damages because it is the responsibility of a contractor to compensate a client in a reasonable manner not by offering to reimburse the price of the service (which costs him nothing since the installations are already there) Does giving me $30 fixes the damage done to my coat?In short, people with a bad faith and that's really the part I find unacceptable, wanting to make fun of people's faces.
