Building Brains Early Learning Centre

Our experience with Building Brains has been incredible! We feel so grateful and secure taking our son to the Centre every day where he is not only safe and educated but also loved. Any challenge our child has faced we’ve felt embraced and supported by staff who are understanding and will have a lasting impact on our family. Additionally having the app available ensures we are able to maintain routines or become aware of and notified of changes.

As a parent and a staff member building brains has been great! After being home with my son for 16 months, they made the transition back to the center so great. They support in whatever way needed and keep me in the loop as a parent. I'm very happy with the care my son is receiving in the Jr. Preschool rooms. I have seen a huge amount of growth in his development over the last year! The director Kate is so understanding and amazing to deal with.

Updated July 2023:I now have both my children in BB and what a fantastic daycare. My son and daughter are always happy going to and leaving the centre, they love their teachers and they enjoy sharing all of their experiences with us.The staff are very considerate and they follow our instructions when it comes to nap time, any medicines they need and more. My kids have also made wonderful friends at BB who we connect with outside of BB. I can’t praise BB enough, if you have a chance to get your kids in, take it!We've been taking my son to Building Brains (BB) for the past seven months, beginning in the infant room and currently in Jr. Preschool and I couldn't be happier with how my son has developed, how social he is and how confident he is in trying to communicate with us. BB offers an excellent environment for learning with great activities that teach and help develop our son's skills.The teachers are very warm and kind. They offer feedback each day and they are very receptive to any questions or concerns we as parents may have. BB has a quality meal plan as well, with breakfast, lunch and snacks each day. BB also offers an app where parents are updated about meals, diaper changes, and nap/quiet times. This is really helpful to keep us informed about what he's up to all day. Teachers also post photos of the kids' activities during the day and it's wonderful to see our little guy and what he's up to.BB staff are very welcoming to any questions and go the extra mile to accommodate our needs and the needs of our child which really help my wife and I feel confident dropping him off. I would recommend Building Brains to all of my friends and family. It's a great centre and I will keep my son there until he goes to school and I will be sending my infant daughter there when within the next year.

Building Brains is a truly incredible learning centre! Miss Kate and all of the wonderful educators in Junior Preschool are welcoming, kind and genuinely happy to be at work. :) They are passionate about what they do; their love for their work is most evident in seeing the big smiles and excitement on our son's face when we pick him up every day. :)Other daycares are good, but BB is truly great. We are grateful!

Kate is the best child care Director I’ve ever met. For context, before moving to Saskatoon I spent 15 years conducting child development and child care quality research and worked to help assess over 2,000 daycares. Kate recruits and trains excellent staff, is incredibly knowledgeable, exceptionally hands on, & is always developing new ways to engage us parents and families - like the recent amazing Stay-and-Play for Mother’s Day. I was so worried when I had to start my son in child care at 7 months, but Kate and her infant room staff made everything feel so reassuring and clear and always had time for any and all my questions that 1 and half years later, we’re still THRILLED and highly recommend them. They helped ensure not only my son’s developmental needs were met, but they’ve helped him become the smiley, happy, social, engaging, centred, and inquisitive little guy he is today. I just can’t say enough about Kate and their staff. Despite Kate getting a million things done every day, she never makes you feel rushed when you’re taking with her or asking a question, she knows every kid SO WELL, as do her staff, despite it being a centre versus home care. The staff are so wonderful and engaging with the kids, that even though my son is only now in the Junior PreK side; staff from the PreK know him so well too. Lastly, they employ Reggio, Montessori, and a physical literacy program - something I haven’t seen anywhere else - let alone the on site kitchen that makes amazing meals for the kids that I often wish I could order some for me! Overall, just an exceptional team with the families, the kids, and all the great activities they do with our precious little ones :) We’ve already signed up our second one & can’t believe such a great place of care is here is our own backyard of Saskatoon. Building Brains is undoubtedly the best daycare in Saskatoon. We would say it's more like a preschool than a daycare as we have seen our daughter grow and changed almost every day in the past 6 months. The teachers of the Infant Room take amazing care of the Infants, and they are really helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Our daughter misses her teachers when at home. The parent teacher meetings are informative, the food is amazing, the daily activities are awesome and Circle Time is a bonus which makes our day to see the Infants learn & perform live every morning.We would like to thank Kate and the Infant Classroom teachers for taking such good care of our Daughter.We would highly recommend Building Brains to parents who wish to provide the best childhood education to their kids.

Only good things to say about this daycare. Our daughter started in the infant room and graduated up to the junior preschool before we sadly moved cities and had to leave Building Brains. With two busy working parents, it was such a relief knowing there was a safe, fun place to leave her everyday. in addition, we constantly noticed new skills that our daughter developed and know BB played a huge role in nurturing these. The teachers are friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable. Miss Kate was so warm and welcoming to our daughter as well. we would even joke that she loved it there more than at home as she would run in each day and barely even look back at us! Thanks so much to the whole BB team for the experience at your school, we were truly so, so sad to leave.

We enrolled our son as a 1 year old in the infant program and I cannot speak highly enough about our experience at Building Brains. Our son loves going every day and in only a few short months we saw major growth him and it's amazing to see what new things he learns in the care of Miss Michelle and her class. Their hours are wonderful and very accommodating, the staff have all been wonderful with him and you can see the bond they've developed, the food is top notch and always a great variety, and the center itself is wonderfully laid out with lots of activities for the kids. We're relocating to a new city and will miss BBs and the family that Miss Kate has built - thank you for letting us be a part of it and I do believe our experience will be hard to replicate!

Such a bad management system and the organization of daycare in Saskatoon. From my work experience no management support, teachers are taking over break, they don’t play with children always play with teachers lol and nap time teacher are taking to other they just always busy in their phones not children

Our daughter just transitioned from Junior Preschool to Preschool. We are so grateful to Kate and the Junior Preschool team for the care and attention they have given to our daughter. She has grown so much, in so many ways, while at Building Brains, including her level of confidence and independence. We are so thankful to the staff.
