In July 2020 we had Hardscapes do a major renovation on our backyard. We had to rebuild a very long 3-foot high retaining wall that was bulging out in places. As we had to do this work, we were also considering replacing all of our 1990’s interlocking brick in our back yard with more modern paving stones and getting an area where we had an old Gazebo that we had previously removed, leveled graded and paved over with new stone. We also wanted to have all of the river stone in our front and backyards topped off and some borders repaired. In early June Doug came out and gave us some suggestions and a variety of estimates for the work if we decided to do it in stages. We had two other estimates from reputable and established local landscaping companies who were concrete and retaining wall specialists as well as landscapers. Hardscapes estimate was very competitive coming in under the other estimates. As a result we got all of the work done. In mid July Doug and his team of 8 young men came out at 7 am on what was to be a very hot day. When they left at 7 pm the work was 90% completed. All of the work was done by 3pm the next day. Can’t say enough about the young men who were very professional and were extremely hard working. I would highly recommend this company for your consideration if you are planning to undertake landscaping work on your property. They were outstanding! Before and after pictures are posted below.

I got to see how these guys react when things go wrong. They came to do an expansion of our driveway and modification to our two pathways. They showed up with a team of 8 or so guys, and got to work fast. But they basically had the stone colours reversed. When I mentioned this, there was a brief, Are you sure

We have used Doug for various projects over the years ( patio, retaining wall, parking pad, pool deck, stairs). Courteous, on time, competitive price, quality work. Doug has always been willing to do extra to make sure the project turns out how we envisioned. We cannot say enough good things about his company.

The team were courteous young men that worked quickly to complete my project in one day. The work is beautiful and I’m super happy and receive numerous compliments. Doug even built me a little gate to keep dogs in the yard
