BC SPCA Abbotsford

I adopted two dogs from this location. Staff are tremendous and hard working. Disregard the 1 star reviews, they do their best. People need to be better pet owners and more respectful of shelter staff.

As of late I am very disappointed in them. I have brought a few cats here that were homeless strays and prior to this were amazing. I called them last Sunday to see if they could take a beautiful 7 month old kitten I found and the receptionship who sounded quite young and very condescending told me they cannot take her according to the supervisor and that I should put her back outside because she has survived this long outside. TERRIBLE and HEARTLESS! This is what this organization is supposed to be about, caring and saving animals. What about when they said to keep your cats indoors, they kill birds and too many cats keep coming in because they're getting hit by cars etc etc. Why bother rescuing animals from hoarding situations and abuse if they've survived this long they will be fine". I will never donate

Poor customer service. I found a cat in my farm and emailed to hand over to them. When went there with cat, receptionist was mad and told me that I was not suppose to bring her in. Even showed email from other receptionist(Sydeny) but she did not listen to me. She( heley daisy)accepted that cat but she treated me poorly. Did not like customer service. Even receptionist does not reply to voice-mails. I tried to find cat' owner but unluckily can't find.... need to teach staff how to provide excellent customer service....

The volunteer coordinator, Hazel, was not very nice or friendly. Perhaps she's in the wrong type of work. Very not nice.

Visited the SPCA in hopes of adopting another dog. Their “ meeting “ process involves keeping them on opposite sides of the street with 0 interaction which concluded with us being told to walk down the street while she brought the dog back into the shelter. Whole process was 1 minute. No meeting occurred what so ever, it was just “ look there’s another dog. But that’s all you get to see, this isn’t working. “ would not recommend anyone who has a dog that isn’t a mute try to adopt another from this spca.

Dealing with the people of the Abbotsford SPCA was very delightful! They were very understanding of my schedule and made every effort to ensure I was able to get my two beautiful kittens to their new furever home!!!

Just picked up this kitty. We renamed him thunder cloud. They were very helpful with all our questions and were happy to have this guy find a home. He needs extra patience and care. Wich we give him daily!

Sydney was super super awesome and we got an awesome cat and we are super happy. Excellent experience. The SPCA is awesome!
