I've trained in goju-ryu karate and other styles in various schools previously, and after relocating to Hamilton, I was so lucky to have found Shihan Beardwood and Sensei Paul. They are both very knowledgeable and are excellent instructors. I've found it to be an open, friendly, learning environment to learn traditional karate with practical applications.

Advance Combative Theories
I've been going to Advance Combative Theories for a few months now and have really enjoyed it. I've never learned self-defence before, but Mike Beardwood, the instructor does a great job teaching and working through scenarios. The price point is very competitive and very valuable for the level of individual attention I have received in class. Definitely recommended for somebody looking to learn self-defence.

Came back to Goju Ryu Karate missing it for years. The head instructor, Shihan Mike Beardwood is extremely knowledgeable. I found all the staff very passionate and friendly.
