I called for a leaking faucet in my shower and was quoted $480 to replace the shower cartridge. I asked how long it would take and they said less than an hour.I did more research and found the part at the hardware store for $50 and installed it myself in 40 minutes.I don’t understand how they came to $480 unless they charge $400 per hour. Something seriously wrong here.

Andrew was very professional and skilled. Plus I appreciated his great sense of humor and positive attitude. I learned a lot by watching him work. He changed some drain and vent lines around so we could tie in a garbage disposal at our bar sink. All work was done efficiently and neatly. I will definitely have Andrew back for more work, which is of course inevitable in a 1939 house. I'll continue to use Markham Plumbing for all work on our house, and recommend everyone does the same.

I was worried at first because after the first visit, the kitchen drain that the plumber re-did to meet standards was leaking. It also became clogged again after he left. After the 2nd visit, the plumber fixed the leak and eventually unclogged my kitchen drain thankfully at no additional cost.
