Terrible customer service!Over priced and out dated equipment.I was eavesdropping on the owners conversation, he doesn’t seem like a nice person at all. Also it seems like he keeps his dogs in cages ALL day and doesn’t seem to treat them very nicely. Way too many dogs in the small cage.

Amazing resource for home fitness gear, electric bikes and so much more! The owner and his staff are all friendly and very knowledgeable. We're lucky to have such an excellent fitness resource here in Saskatoon!

I have just bought a second bike from Western Fitness. Their attention to customer service has been exceptional. With my first bike, any problems that I may have had were quickly dealt with, to my satisfaction. Merv make a deal when purchasing the new bike that was of benefit to both of us. I enjoy shopping in his store.

Prices were competitive and staff was friendly and helpful. Purchased some equipment a few years back and they had the cutest German Shepherd puppies in the back. Owners let my daughters spend time playing with the pups while I did my shopping. It was a great experience and I’ll definitely be back.

Visiting them again from Toronto. Got a kettlebell, some hand weights, and gloves from them a while back, and they are still in great condition. Wonderful local business on Broadway; the city needs more like it. Love the herd of Shepherds too

I bought an Octane Fitness elliptical. The machine is very good, but I had a problem with the drive motors they misdiagnosed over the phone as a circuit board problem. During the warranty period they shipped 3 circuit boards to me that did not fix the problem. Finally they came to Regina and fixed it by replacing the motor on one side. I was then told that as the warranty was now over, I had to cover the cost. I told them they just fixed the original problem and I shouldn't be charged for the motor. The owners son (tech) said 'not the case', and then removed the motor, took the circuit boards and left me with a machine that didn't work. If anyone buys from these guys, don't expect anything after you pay them!

By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced...EVER...from any business in Saskatoon or Canada for that matter! I was in and bought a pair of wrist wraps. Before checking out I specifically asked if I could return them. The owner said yes as long as I didn't use them. I came to return them unused and was told they had an exchange or credit only policy. There was ZERO discussion about exchange or credit when I originally bought them and I would not have bought them if that was the case. There was nothing written on the receipt and in fact I only received the credit card receipt. The owner got into a yelling match with me over something that cost $20. I'm absolutely shocked they are still in business. I will NEVER purchase anything from them again even if it's the cheapest or best product in town. The owner and his son need to take a course on customer satisfaction and how to successfully manage a business. They claim to be Canada's oldest specialty equipment store and they conduct themselves as the oldest. The owner Merv Smith was the rudest man I've encountered in many years and was extremely belligerent. His son Michael who continued to work with me after Merv walked away in to the back room couldn't make a decision for himself. One less customer...good luck. Reading other reviews, it would appear that I am not alone.

We have only dealt with Western Fitness Equipment and Merv (owner) has been nothing but nice, courteous and extremely helpful. If you are a dog lover you will enjoy his store; we went in there yesterday to purchase a TRX mount and he had 5 of his German Sheppard's there and they are all very sweet and well behaved. There is always a chance you will find something cheaper on Amazon (or elsewhere) but supporting local sometimes means paying a higher price, which we are happy to do as long as it isn't out of line, which it never is at Western. We will definitely be coming back.

Very rude owner, he has 4 German Sheppard dogs in cages and I was trying to say hi to the dogs and he told me not to talk to them because they would bite me. I told him he shouldn't be training them to be mean, he then cussed at me before I left.Also his equipment is so disorganized and over priced.

Very friendly and great customer service. Got me everything I needed. Would recommend.
