Mont-Saint Gregoire
It's a casual 2 hr hike up and down the green and blue trails. You need to mind your steps since the rocks can be a little tricky to navigate. You must also pay the entrance fee since they have someone on the trails asking for proof of payment. All in all was very enjoyable

This mountain use to be free hike but now they charge you $6 per person. There’s 2 cave and a nice place to climb up the rocks. The staff fix it so much and ruin more of the nature walk. Don’t think I will come back.

This mountain in southern Quebec may not feel all that far from the city, but its quick and straightforward trail offers views that say otherwise. Differing itself from the typical rolling-hills-and-maple-groves on display from other summits on this list, Mont Saint-Grégoire is surrounded by sprawling fields, looking out over vast wide-open spaces and mountains further afield. On a clear day, you’ll see Montreal visible in the distance, so it’s good for getting some perspective on the city as well.Drive time from Montreal: 1 hour 20 minutes

Small rocky mountain, easy to go with kids. It’s better to have good shoes and some water.

A short hike worthy of a mini morning getaway from the city just 30 min away. Accessible for kids and easy enough for starting hiking habits between friends and family. Well kept trail with some challenges... bouldering possibilities
