Super cool little stop, great on a hot day. Have a dip and cool down in a chill little spot. Very quiet.

Lengthy but softly sloping uphill walk of a few Kms to get to the Falls. Since you will be on a gravel road for most of the way, watch for mountain bikers (lots of variously challenging off-road bike trails), ATVs and fellow hikers.

DO NOT USE GOOGLE MAPS for this place. Parking is in Cumberland and the walk is easy but use all trails for the place to park and hike. Very cool place to visit. Google will take you into the woods to a dead end road.

Such a beautiful spot to visit. If you go at the right time of year you can see the toadlets emerge and gather by the tens of thousands like I did in 2018. The bowls in summer don't get too much water so I do not consider this a swimming basin or hole but you can get wet in the chilly water. My kids have definitely played in the bowls on the creek. It is quite photogenic so bring your camera and share what you capture. I usually make it here a couple times a year wether in foot or on bikes.

These are in the Cumberland Forest just off a main hiking/biking path. Google is not the way to go. Use alltrails; it's 4k roundtrip.

Beautiful place to visit, and it was a lovely stroll to get to the river in the first place. Note: you're walking along a logging road the entire way, which does impact the experience a little. When we arrived (Feb 21), it was pretty busy - I can only imagine how hectic it must be in the summer. As we were there in the spring-ish (beginning of the thaw), the water was pretty high, so I'd imagine more 'bowls' will be exposed in the summer, so for us it was 1.5 hours in the car, and we only spent 10-15 minutes at the bowls. I'd expected a longer stretch of the formations; we saw roughly 100m of river that had the bowls, including two small sets of falls.Very cool, but probably not worth a special trip to see them, depending on your proximity. Thankfully there are a million other things to explore when you're there - make this one of many things to see on a given day, and you won't be disappointed!
