Rideau Valley Automotive

I'm heading to Newfoundland in a few days - thought it would be a good idea to get my truck inspected before making the trip - took it to Rideau Valley automotive and not only did they do the inspection they fixed one of the brake lights - what do you think the bill was for this??? I'm thinking at least one hour labour, nope, Shawn says have a safe trip and enjoy your holiday. Awesome service and just all around great people. Thank-you.

Brought my vehicle in to be repaired and when my in laws picked it up for me(as I was unable to make it during their business hours) they called and explained the bill to me I was quite upset. Not only was I charged for things I shouldn't have been but the work was done incorrectly.Number 1 they didnt torque down the main nut for the radius arm which means the suspension banged around during driving and damaged the radius arm beyond repair. I now need a new one.Number 2. I would have needed a new one anyway because they performed extra preventative" weld on the radius arm because it looked rusty.. These arms are Cast and cant be welded without weakening it. Ford even printed "DO NOT WELD" on the part.Part of the process requires removing the shocks and replacing it when its done. As I knew the shock would break when he removed it I gave him a new shock to put in its place. He charged me for it too.After I posted a review he had the audacity to call me and complain about the review. I took it down and posted a more favourable one at first but when I inspected the radius arm later I found how much damage he did and decided its better to post this review so others know what they're getting into.I will not be changing this again. I have more faith in Canadian Tire after this experience."

My drive shaft failed me on my way to work, and these fine folks got me going and didn't even charge anything ... just highly competent and good people. Strongly recommend.

If i could give more then 5 stars i would.. The staff is so friendly and they do an awsome job. My car runs better and sounds great. I will for sure go back to them and recommend them to people :)

Shaun and Ed are amazing people and skilled mechanics. I can rely on them 100%! My most recent encounter was calling for a lockout". A young mother with two in diapers and an 8 year old had the keys locked in her car while visiting. A quick call and Ed was right there with his kit and slim jim. He had the door open

Not recomended ,refuse to work on shocks ,in my time of need .Going else where for service now.Was also rude over the phone about my car.Didn't care how i felt .

Great shop. Fit me in quickly and had me on the road again in no time. Very friendly staff. I've found my new garage.
