My apologies but my honest opinion is that it was only ok. Not bad, but definitely not amazing. I got the salmon chirashi which was maybe the wrong thing to get. For the price, I expected higher quality salmon. The pieces I got were had a lot of fat and was chewy. There was a lot of rice under the sashimi and not much else. It would’ve been nice to have some salad or seaweed with it. I felt pressured by the waitress to leave. Sorry but this is just my honest opinion. The takoyaki was good though, I did like that.

The main dishes are small and over-priced. Their chirashi has an off-putting sweet sauce over the rice. They also deep-fried their okonomiyaki instead of the standard way of pan-frying..

We had the Omakase menu and will definitely return to try the regular menu. The omakase menu was $160 with unlimited sake and cocktail, in addition to 12 dishes (10 service but the one service included 3 dishes!). We were very full and was impressed by the variety. This is not a nigri-only type of omakase and included more cooked dishes. Would highly recommend! A feedback would be to have more acidic balance to some of the fattier dishes (e.g. curry, wagyu) and to have palate cleansers like sorbets earlier on in the omakase. Overall great menu with lots of special items!

Tried their Kaisen Don. It's a bowl of mixed fish, uni, and sweet shrimps. The rice was served excessively wet, mushy and almost hot which is totally unacceptable for a sashimi bowl. It's almost insulting. The sweet shrimps were the tiny ones you get all you can eat sushi. For a bowl of nearly $40, you'd expect it to be served with the usual ama ebi.The staff was generally very polite and kind. But table service was inattentive and bare minimum.I probably went on a bad night. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

food was delightful (highlights include grilled octopus and fresh tuna). as were the drinks, unique and tasty. vibe is lowkey and great for catching up with friends (ie no need to shout over the music). highly recommend!!

We took out lunch after an intense cross-country skiing morning. The food was outstanding. It was fresh, well presented (even in a takeout container) and very flavourful. We savoured every bite and now it’s our go to place for an amazing lunch. What a way to start the lunar new year! Kudos to the team!*** update ***About 8 months ago, in the middle of a pandemic, we took away lunch from Nozy and had a delectable experience. I gave it a 5 stars review and vowed to come back for supper as one wonders if the experience was just a fluke and can supper be just as good? Fast forward and I recently came back for a celebratory supper. Happy to report the experience was just exquisite and delectable! We enjoyed the appetizers of grilled octopus and blue crab with shrimp soup. I mean what a combination! Tasteful. As main, we ordered the salmon Chirashi bowl and the Toro Tekka Don (red bluefin tuna) bowl, both hits! One disappointment was that they ran out of uni. So a tip, call to make sure they stock up on the uni. My 2nd review and 5 stars again. Well done, well done.

Late post-My family and I went to Nozy for Mother’s Day. We ordered takoyaki and beef tataki for appetizers. They came out fairly quickly. They were very nice and the tataki was refreshing. We had Take Kago, Kaisen Don and uni tuna salmon don. Everything was fresh and the meal was the right size. The prices are fair for the amount of fresh fish you get. The service was quick and friendly! Would come again :)

A little overrated, in my opinion. I'd rather go to fancier sushi restaurants because they have a higher quality seafood. Though, the kaisendon was nice. The place is cozy, and the worker is nice.

My friend recommended me to come to this restaurant. The sashimi is fresh if you are Japanese fans. We went there right when they are opened, we didn't have reservations. Look like they will have a full Sat night. They don't have rice rolls on the dinner menu. They have rice bowls set to choose, Three side dish and six appetizers. they also have chef recommendation. The waitress will love to tell you.

I've been coming here for the last three years, dishes are fantastic and truly a taste from Japan. Make sure to try the special cocktails too. For food, you'll never be disappointed with a Take Kago!
