Overpriced for what you get. They charge 60-70$ for a course that has probably the worst carts in town. The greens are not cut on the same day which makes them inconsistent. They tend to over load tee times. The only good thing about this course is probably the hot dogs after hole 10. I may sound harsh but this is an honest review. Most will agree with this.

Went on May 6, 2023 and the ground was still very wet. There were a lot of puddles and pools of water in sand traps. Fairly long course with a few par 4s and 5s early on.

This course is terrible, they always cram in groups too close together. Round was supposed to start at 330, didn’t tee off until 3:50. 3-4 groupings on a tee box at a time. We quit after playing 10 holes at 6:55 as we knew we wouldn’t finish before sunset. This is the case every time I go there. Over 3 hours to play 10 holes, incredible. Save your money and go play somewhere else.

Showed up for our tee time to a backlog of carts and no starter. Teed off 15 minutes after our tee time. Paced out over 3 hours for 9 holes even though we paid for 18. 20$ for a cart that spun out almost causing an accident. Consistently hit into the entire round, stray balls from the range were also dangerous as it borders two holes with no fencing.Star for being located and greens were actually quite nice despite needing to be cut. Some nice par 3s.

Had a good time with my boyfriend here! We went while it decided to rain on us a few times. Definitely worth it !

Played on Sunday May 29th, 2022, paid $47 which is on the low side for the Ottawa area, so not expecting much.Tee'd off at 8:22 and no one on the tee since at least 8am and no one after for at least 20 min. I thought this was going to be great playing with no one in front or behind. Then I wondered why on a Sunday morning we were the only ones playing in a prime slot. Then I realized why.Fairways were soggy, puddles in many areas and over-flowed creeks across designated paths. There hasn't been much rain lately and well into summer golf conditions. Plus on some of the fairways it was hard to find grass to hit from. Many of the greens either still have winter kill or are suffering from some grass disease. Balls were jumping around all over the place. As I said, you can't expect much for $47, but at least you should be able to putt on the greens and dry fairways to hit from.If this is the only place with open tee times, then go for it, but there are other better valued golf courses around Ottawa, especially up the valley.

Played there today (17 Aug 2022) with three other friends. It's the first time I've played Champlain in 30 years, if not more. The pro and starter were really nice and friendly. $56 with cart (seniors over 55 rate) was quite nice. The course was in good to really good shape. I know that the course has been reconfigured and holes changed but nothing ridiculous. Some holes were familiar and others I didn't recall. There was plenty of great signage to direct players to the next hole. The fairways were in decent shape and the greens, for the most part, were in really good shape and consistent in speed. There were a couple of greens which had dead patches but the greens were large enough and the pins placed in such a way that the damage really didn't come into play. The cart we had was a bit temperamental but it got through our round. It was a somewhat busy day but we still managed to get our round done in just over four hours, a very good pace of play. We saw the player's assistant out on the course and he was quite pleasant when we chatted with him. There was no beverage cart but there is a hot dog and beverage stand by the 11th tee box. I brought a lunch but friends said the hot dogs were quite tasty. Our group was impressed with the course and our experience today. While it's unlikely that we'll return this year, we've agreed that Champlain will be in our rotation for courses to play next year.

Great owners and very accommodating prices. The 18 holes vary in difficulty. Definitely recommended for a friendly game with friends.
