In my opinion it’s a good school and I believe that this is one of the better schools in Paris, but from my previous experience there are better and cheaper options like hiring a private tutor elsewhere. If you're looking for a school and don't want to consider other options then I think this is a great choice when considering price and quality of the teaching. The Good –• Everyone was very nice, the other students, teachers and administrative staff• The teachers care a lot, they really want to do the best job they can.• Competitively priced, especially when taking more than 5 weeks where the price per week drops dramatically.• I like the strategy, they use two different teachers with different teaching strategies.• The school is very convenient to get to, it’s just next to Châtelet. The Bad –• They claim that the class size will NEVER exceed 7 people, this is a *LIE*. Also, In my opinion the quality suffers when there’s more 5 students.• Teachers Don’t have enough time after the class to be able to have a good conversation with the students about subjects they might have difficulty• Some teachers are better than others, one was particularly bad… but thankfully we only had this person for two days.• I wasn’t a huge fan of the books they used, it was VERY HARD to review at home after class and there are very few examples to show you how to do the practice questions. The previous book I used during my previous French studies was much easier to use on my own.• In my opinion they really need to give much more homework. This relates to the previous comment, since the book is so hard to follow at home it’s difficult to review by reading the chapter. It’s extremely important to study and practice a lot after the class and they give very little extra practice material/reading material to do this. If the book is difficult to read at home, you're unlikely to review it, so this needs to be supplemented with extra homework/exercise sheets. You can find some practices online but it's sometimes hard to find what you’re looking for.Side notes - A couple things I noticed, not good nor bad• They heavily market to South Koreans• About 85% of the students are South Korean females• 10% females from other countries• 5% GuysLike I said this is neither good nor bad, just something interesting I noticed.

As a student who has just taken the au pair language classes, I am completely appalled by the way we have been treated this year by ELFE.Our original teacher was frequently unwell and absent. This meant we had repeated cancelled classes that had to be made up, and in the end, we were taught by no less than 5 different teachers, all of whom had no idea who we were when they first met us, leading to us wasting time every single class introducing ourselves. The lady who we spoke to about our concerns was dismissive and when students shared how they felt, she diminished their feelings and belittled them.I genuinely feel like, with all the disruption of cancelled classes, moving online, having different teachers - we should have received some form of refund. To be transparent, we paid around 500-600 euros including materials for this course. Had the administrative staff attempted to resolve our concerns and partially refund us this extortionate sum, I would not be writing this review, but I cannot recommend this language school to anyone and am so disappointed and upset with my experience.

Avoid Elfe at all costs. As a language school and testing center, Elfe should have its charter revoked The testing environment is deplorable, and supervisory personnel incompetent and unresponsive. It's more expensive, but strongly suggest a quality school like Alliance Francaise or La Sorbonne.

The most pathetic Language school I found in Paris. I had been trying to enrol and been calling them to be able to choose a right class for me. The person never calls back even though he promises that he will call back. It is really frustrating to see this poor level of service.I really doubt if this institute can teach if they do not know how to communicate.!!

This is a third-rate operation aspiring to be a second-rate one. Despite the deconfinement requirements, the place was dirty. Teaching is spotty at best. Travaux next to the building makes it impossible to concentrate during class. Want quality French language classes? Go elsewhere.

I didn't go to this school for french classes but I took my TCF Canada here.Things I appreciate: Easy registration with their website and fast confirmation. The school is sur la cour" aka. very few noises from the street. Warm reception at the test center

I was worried about doing my TCF with all the new sanitary measures but the team at Elfe was very prepared (gel available everywhere, clean computers, physical distancing, ...) and I was able to do my exam in the best possible conditions. Thank you ! Very excited to be starting my classes next week !

The quality of service is bad and it is far too expensive compared to how little you advance. I wouldn't recommend this school to anybody.
