Banana Leaf Tropical Cuisine
This little cafe is a good place to enjoy Malaysian cuisine. The servers were nice and friendly. The taste of everything was authentic. The food came quickly and very appetizing. Each portion was generous & the price was affordable. The only downside was the size of the restaurant. It was quite small so it was kinda hard to get a table for 5 of us on weekends.

Banana Leaf Tropical Cuisine
This was one of my favorite spots when I lived in Calgary 7 years ago. So, naturally, I had to return to this location on route to the West coast. And boy, it did not disappoint. I absolutely loved the vegetable curry laksa and it tasted just as good as I remembered it. I'd highly recommend this restaurant!

Mouth watering food & great service!Would 100% recommend all the dishes we had.- The chicken nugs are phenomenal! Tasty bite size fried chicken. So, good!- Seafood Laksa, full of flavour, generous amount of seafood, spicy and creamy.- Roti with curry Beef Brisket, great combination and serving size. Beef was cooked perfectly, just delicious.

A really solid Malaysian/Taiwanese centric restaurant! This spot is just along 32nd Ave and doesn’t look too inviting from the outside. But don’t let that stop you from visiting as the interior and service is really great overall! It’s quite small inside, but is clean and comfortable to sit in with a well maintained washroom. The menu is extensive, boasting a wide range of dishes including nasi lemak, beef rendang, fried chicken, and much more! The drink menu is also quite big which is nice as well. Service is quick and friendly, and the food prep times were relatively quick. The food itself was tasty, full of flavour with enough oil and spices to make each dish distinct and delicious. Prices are a little high in my opinion (mainly $20 per dish) but still well worth the taste. Parking shouldn’t be too hard to find outside the restaurant. Check this spot out if you’re craving some unique Asian food!

I love this place. This might be my favourite family restaurant hands down. The chicken skewers are the best I’ve ever had so far. Love the Laksa and the Hainanese rice chicken as well.

Everything we ordered at this restaurant was out of the world. If you are craving some good Asian food, this place is a must try with a lot of Malaysian, Taiwanese options. The beef curry was packed with flavours and laksa was too good! Will definetly make another visit very soon. Make sure you reach the place well before their closing time (7:30 pm) to relax and enjoy the food

It has been years since I've been here and the quality is still top notch. The food is delicious and the service is very friendly.If you go on a Sunday, get here before they open. 25 minutes in and all the tables were filled .Highly recommend

Sure, it's beside a hair store and shares a parking lot with an auto shop. There's not much on the walls and you might even think to myself what am I doing here?"But then you order a roti cause you heard its good. The best way to describe it is like a Malaysian version of a flatbread croissant

My favourite spot for Malaysian food in Calgary! The Laksa, Beef Rendang, Roti…etc is very delicious. The Hainanese chicken laksa/rice is a must get as the chicken is extremely tender and portions are extremely generous (like half a chicken in each dish!). Unfortunately prices keep rising here, which is why I deduct one star. Please see menu pictures attached for most updated menu prices as of Feb 2023. Also, they supposedly only take cash and debit, but they will take visa/MasterCard (for extra 2.5% service fee) if you ask!
