Mr. Lube + Tires

As a woman in her 20s who knows very little about cars, I am SO impressed with the service I received from Zoe who did an oil change for me. She explained everything to me, didn’t make me feel like an idiot and didn’t try to sell me stuff I didn’t need. I often avoid mechanic and service shops because I leave feeling stupid and taken advantage of. That is the exact opposite of what happened today. I will be requesting her for any future services from mr lube.

I would give 0 stars if allowed. A very bizarre, unpleasant experience. Needed a flat tire repaired, they refused to do it because the tires were expired"

Got oil change but next day an engine light came on so went back as I thought they didn't finish putting oil in or something. They did a diagnostic (4 fellows standing looking under the hood of my car) and it told them I was registering to much air emissions and nothing they could do. As car is fairly new I immediately went to a mechanic and in 5 minutes was told the air filter was not put back in properly when it was checked during the oil change. Mechanic installed it and light went off. That was a cost for a mechanic when it wasn't necessary. I usually go to Mr. Lube but have found very young, not necessarily enthusiastic employees there so may have to change to another Lube place..Has anyone else experienced this.\?

I have been going to Mr. Lube for years, but lately they have gone overboard with their up sales. I was told my transmission fluid was white and they needed to change it out. I did not take their advice but rather told them I had a friend who was a transmission specialist and would consult with him. My vehicle had 78 thousand km on it and it's a 2018. I took it in to Excell Transmission, had him look into it. It was NOT TRUE!! My transmission fluid was fine, red in color and it was explained to me that with that few km on it, it would have never needed to be flushed or changed out. Needless to say, I am now looking for another oil change business. I will not be going back to Mr. Lube!!

Speedy service and friendly atmosphere. You can tell the workers love their jobs, and it seems like there's an effort to create a positive, fun work environment. Thanks, James and his team, for getting me on the highway on time this afternoon!

There are some really great staff here. We always feel like we are in good hands. The guys that get frustrated in the bays below and swear while banging on your car, are no beuno. If it wasn’t for that one experience, they would have gotten five stars.

There is no option to give a zero. I drove into the parking lot to three open Bays, not a staff member in sight. I could not see an outdoor entrance to an office, and did not go into the shop looking, because of any safety or liability issue. I pulled into a Bay, to be rushed by a staff who'd come upstairs. He appeared agitated and angry. He stood at the front of the Bay, ready to direct me inside, finally I thought! Then he immediately throws one hand up motioning to stop and waves me out (no backup guidance given, thank you kindly), and points at me as if to say, stay there! He goes into an office, comes back out motioning me to roll down my window. I'm quite happy to get out of my car, and have a discussion at eye level. He says Unfortunately because you drove into the shop without guidance we will not be servicing your car today". To which I reply " Not a problem

Kumar and Rylan were the ones who assisted me, Rylan made sure that i got the tires on the same day as he promised as I really need them prior going to Edmonton. I wanted to thank him personally, however he was on a day off, so Kumar assisted me even tho its Monday busy day! Thank you Mr Lube team

I had a great experience at Mr. Lube + Tires in downtown Red Deer, November 1st, 2022. They were able to get my winter tires mounted, in the height of busy-season for tire changeovers. I called ahead to ensure they could do the full changeover of tires on the same set of rims. I arrived right at the opening of business hours. They got me in right away, changed over my tires, and had me on my way, fast.Great service and great attitudes.Well done!

I visited in November, and It was a long, long wait, but I was prepared. It was right after that winter hit us hard, so I wasn't left with much choice. Waited 3 hours, Ugh. The staff was burnt out by that point. Hopefully won't ever have to end up in a bind like that. My tires are awesome tires though.
